Finding "cash" in the course of missions
http://thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com/index.phpindex.php?t=rview&goto=47207&th=4055#msg_47207
sure that this is a frequently-asked question, but I haven't been able to find it on a single JA:DG FAQ.
I am--no surprise--short on money. I am slowly working myself into the black, but every windfall helps. It was a tremendous windfall to discover ~$140,000 "in cold, hard cash" during a warehouse raid. I mean by this that I found an "item" called "cash"; by right-clicking on this item, it was revealed to me that this item represented ~$140,000. I had noticed before that discovered money-items didn't seem to have any effect on my broader overall cashflow. I had never been irritated by the failure of the cash to make it back to my "account" until I "lost" such a great amount of cash at a time when it would have been so immensely helpful.
How do I transfer this found money from a merc's inventory to my account? I considered that my merc may have stolen it, but it seems like I've tried at least three different carriers for three different money-items on three different occasions, and none have made it back-- I forget who carried it the first time, but the second was Eli (a doctor), and this last time Ivan (the Russian). I assume the last two to be reliable, and especially Eli-- am I wrong in this assumption, or (as I suspect) am I not going about the proper way of retaining these money-items? The day after the mission, btw, Ivan's backpack space occupied during the mission by the ~$140,000 money-item is empty.
How do you transfer money from a merc's inventory to your overall cash account? Or do you?]]>Kaje2003-06-24T15:53:00-00:00Re: Finding "cash" in the course of missions

After you complete a mission and withdraw the team a little box with the words; "You have salvaged $XXX from the field!", should appear on the post mission screen.
Hint:Do not let Vinnie carry any cash that you find.
He will say something like "Thanks for the Bonus!" and dissappear with the cash!
I think he appears again after a few missions. Wish there was a "dock his pay" or "kick the crap out of him" option.]]>Maverick2003-06-26T08:54:00-00:00Re: Finding "cash" in the course of missions

I've hired Tex often and he has never cleaned me out.
Like you said, since he was used in UB I proabably would have had Grizzly and Bull use him as a punching bag if that was the case.
If Vinnie wasn't in prision or whatever in JA2, well, would arming him with a .38 and having him fight the Bug Queen be a tad severe? :diabolical:]]>Maverick2003-06-27T13:06:00-00:00Re: Finding "cash" in the course of missions

Mike: Yes, he actually does. Give him very much money and he will rob you. A lot of (non-)fun this is.
Jimmy: He is a criminal after all.
Ivan: Evil, ain't he.
Well, I can just say that most guys steal if they get too much money in their hands.]]>Gideon2003-06-27T16:53:00-00:00
