this is my second topic today http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/smilies/biggrin.gif

this really happened once i was playing ja2ub (the whole story is true).
i had been playing for about 25 game days (i was playing a custom campaign) and came back to varrez to buy supplies. when i entered the sector where raul (the armsdealer) was, i got surprised. i saw approximately 10 civilians, spread all around the town, lying down on the ground, bleeding, and eventually dying. i have no idea what could have caused this. has any of you experienced the same and why did that happen?

a] Maybe you shoot some civilians and they b]started to bleed?
b] Maybe you shoot some of them accidentally in the combat of this sector?
c] Maybe they did combat one to one with alive target's? http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/ubb/icons/icon12.gif
d] Maybe it is a bug?
Really I haven't such acident, but I think it is non planed bug (just I think that way).

Ah now I know it really happened Smile

This happened to me only once. Someone of my mercs even had a line about things not being how they used to be. I got like 8 "Civilian dead" messages on the mapscreen and morale dropped right down to zero. I reloaded and had all those poor people cared for.. I'd guess it's meant to be a revenge raid by the Tracona army for the Varrez folks cooperating with your gang.

sgt.slaughter i can't believe someone else has experienced the same thing as i. at least i know i'm not the only crazy man Wink
tomasaz, i conquered varrez maybe at day 10 or so, if they were bleeding because they were hit during combat, it means they've been bleeding 15 days..

why weren't all the civ's bleeding, only some of them? if anyone has noticed, if you aimed at some civilians with your gun, you can't place the shot accurately (ie. there were not separate parts of body like head, torso, legs). these civilians were not wounded, but the others were.

sgt.slaughter can you remember when did you come across this situation (game days)? were you playing any custom campaign, and if you were, what campaign (i was playing the X-Com campaign)? this information may be the solution (like a bug caused by custom campaign, or it happens always at the same day)

one more thing i have to mention, i bandaged the bleeding civilians, and they stopped bleeding *surprise*, but when i left the sector and came back, they were bleeding again. what the heck was going on?

Were they really bleeding again? Civilians like cows need a day or so to get back to healthy status, they'll stay 'critical' even when you bandage them.

I'm pretty sure this happened on one of my first UB games, definitely with the standard campaign. As that was around last Xmas, i really don't know anymore which gameday or what I did before. It hasn't happened again since. The whole thing smells like another 'unfinished' feature, as special speechlines do exist for this event, but it happens very rarely and you don't get a hint what has really happened to the Varrezians.
