looks cool..but i agree with magek..wrong font..plus..the opposing angles of "jagged alliance" and "1.13" make it look messy..they should both be slanted imho

I'm still playing with it so things can and will change. The font was just an easy test (damn I hate choosing fonts) but I do happen to like it. I wouldn't say it was a good replacement for the original but I wanted something different to test with. I think for the JA2 logo I'll leave it original and just use that font for mod naming.

The main point though was to get rid of the Stencil font on the menu and put a new fitting bkgd in.

And please get that finger off the trigger, it looks like an airsoft player. If your intention is to make it look like a merc with any kind of training instead of a bandit it really needs to go, especially since he is pressing so hard the weapon would shoot if it wasn't put on safe mode. I can't wrap my head around the sinews of the right hand either, it just doesn't look right. He could stand to have a bit of a better posture too. Other than those details it looks good, great work!

Hey I didn't draw the background, a superhero nut did! hence the obvious mistakes (grenades hanging from their pins and TNT in the open anyone?)

I chose that pic because it reminded me of the Blackshirts. I just think of the shot being taken just after shooting someone so it loses the sillyness a little Wink

If anyone is interested I am thinking of doing a Serenity pack (the crew plus Book and the black guy chasing them) after reading the IMP specials in another thread.

I second that,

Firefly was a great show. A mix of western and scifi, it can bring in wide variety of weapons from the show. Also the possibility of the crew as mercs would be interesting.

If I do the characters up as IMP's and save them I can make custom IMP's of them which can be loaded by default (with custom gear, clothing and all). If I do their portraits they will be released as a pack with the modded IMP files (type in the name of the character in the IMP webpage) also may contain a set of customised backgrounds and initial options screens Smile

Just a quick update on my interface project:

1024x768 - 80% complete
800x600 - 60% complete
640x480 - 80% complete
General - 75% complete

Its getting there but due to RL there have been a couple of delays. This interface will be fully compatible with all resolutions and also EDB, NIV and will be updated for future interface changes.

It will also ship soon as an option with my Single click installers when its complete. Seeing as they are pretty much on hold till I finish this project it will come out more than likely with the next single click release.

Will post a few screenies soon Smile

Here as promised are some of the 640x480 images:

http://www.wmwiki.com/hosted/ja2/Web%20Previews/640goodness2.jpg
http://www.wmwiki.com/hosted/ja2/Web%20Previews/640goodness3.jpg

P.S. if they look blueish thats cos Photoshop is playing silly buggers. They should be Urban Camo not blue!!!
