Is there a way to listen to all the sounds files the various mercs say throughout the game? Couldn't find anything in the game folders.

nope, you have to unpack them and listen with a programm of your choice

dragom unpacker

if you just want to know what they say - have a look

edith: just for the terminology speech + npc-speech - sounds are guns and birds and roses

judith: oops, welcome to the pit

gwyneth: KINGSIZE OOPS - you're talking metavira, didn't get that at 2:30 am, but would be very interested if someone had an idea how to extracr those files

One question: How do you guys extract speech and music files from Deadly Games and JA1?
Because either I'm not proficient enough with the dragon unpacker, or there is some other way unknown to me.

Hello Mike,

You should better use Azrael's "Speech File eXtractor" to get the speech and sound files from DG/JA1:

Speech of Mickey:

Have fun! Smile

No problem! I'm a little nostalgic as well! Smile

Well, if you are interested in music from JA1 you should check the three files included in the "JA1_MIDI_pack" I've found and uploaded to Kermi's FTP:

http://kermi.pp.fi/JA_1/Other_Stuff/

I think it should be no problem to convert them into another sound format and make them usable for JA2 maybe? Just an idea Wink

If you want to hear the description sounds just extract the files located in the INV folder!

Excuse me. I'm a new guy around here and i want to ask something.
Why my JA1 and DG doesn't have a music at all? Even My DG doesn't have any speech sound files.
Is it look like i'm missing some file or something?

Because it's an old DOS game you need to run it under some DOS emulation or you need 16bit DOS drivers of your sound card (which is quite impossible to find). Best solution is using a DOS emulation like DOSBox. You can get it at http://www.dosbox.com for free. There are tutorials to how to set up sound.

Okay, the music is work now. But still have a problem with the speech. I'm just could hear "Yes", "what?" and just like that. And It can't run the JA1.

For those who are interested, an archive site with Roland soundtracks has recently added Jagged Alliance to their list (Roland LAPC-1 version, specifically)

Hey there,

Can anyone explain me how to use the JADG-SFX.exe on a 64bit win 7 machine? I got me JA DG last year and I just want to listen to the silly voices that the german version has to offer, if anyone could help me to get a blast from the past I'd be more then happy happy

I suddenly got the urge to extract these as well. Now even Windows 7 is gone and we are on Windows 10!

Anyone have any advice on how to make JADG-SFX work? Or is there another program that can do the job today? Or does anybody simply have the extracted wavs?

Some ingenious soul extracted the files from Deadly Games!
Here is the YouTube video:

Check the description for a link to a download of all the separate wav files.

The same person also extracted the original Jagged Alliance:
YouTube:

Again, the download link is in the description.

So is there a similar tool for Win10? I would like to extract the German voice lines.
