CujoGot the new maps but found that they crash in sector I6 for some reason. It's OK, I can do without the subways. Got the Hummer and the Heli so I'm good for transport.
Still can't find Devin. Found a list of likely locations but he's not any of them. Is there a map editor that works so I can 'peek' at the maps and find him. I really like having lots of explosives
Also a prob bug. The LAW's don't seem to weigh hardly anything (0.1 Pounds).
Another bug but I like it. The RPG ammo shows up at Bobby Rays with a text message saying that if you see this then it's wrong.
And one more item. The new funky helmets (Ordinace etc) don't seem to be as good as the standard Spectra helmet. Is it supposed to be that way?
Thanks for all of your time. Still having a blast.
Ok, I'm still unclear if you are using the original UC or my updated UC-1.13. Multiple new helmets, and warnings about the RPG ammo being incorrectly sold at BR's would indicate it is UC-1.13, but also your results indicate a botched install. Perhaps it would be best for me to suggest cutting your losses with your existing game, and just doing a clean install of UC-1.13 updated to v3.59. See: http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/board/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=287173#Post287173
All your need is a clean install of your retail copy of Jagged Alliance 2, the 7zip archive program we all use to compress mods these days, and files specified in the posting that the link leads to (nothing more, nothing less, please read the instructions carefully before proceeding). I'm expecting at least two weeks before I release the save game breaking v3.60, which will lack a Quick Install until someone produces the necessary shortcuts. Basically "Starting Again," but this time with instructions that work (I tested the links just last week).

Except for two brief forays into a custom .exe in the past, UC-1.13 is simply editing of data files. The v1.13 mod, on which my projects are based on, is the source code mod. The programmers behind v1.13 are responsible for the multiplayer feature, I don't even know if UC-13 works under multiplayer. If I remember correctly the source code was released to the public under some kind of proprietary licence (ie. not open source) in the same re-release of JA2 Gold (v1.12) that included the first commercial Wildfire mod release.
The original Urban Chaos had a custom .exe from the pre-source code days (ie. it was binary hacked). While v1.13 has surpassed these old modding techniques in many areas, it hasn't quite caught up with all the features found in Urban Chaos: the UBT website cannot be done properly yet, and the hacked UC .exe seemed to support more civilians/enemy placements in the maps (that or the map editor won't let me place as many).
One thing that I don't think they managed to pull off in the original Urban Chaos is changing Devin's random spawn points. As you are sure you are playing the original Urban Chaos, I don't think you'll see him. For a NPC to appear, they must be pre-placed in a map and be "programmed" to appear in that map. The maps he appears in (discovered by looking in the Map Editor) are not the ones he appears in the stock Alrulco campaign, and if the original Urban Chaos modders didn't sucessfully hack the part of the JA2.exe responsible for his random placement/movements then he will never appear.
v1.13 recently externalized some of the random placement/movement schemes, and this has been used for the later versions of UC-1.13 to make Devin appear as the original Urban Chaos modders intended. Prior to this, I simply inserted Devin into the maps that correspond to the stock game's Devin appearances (this workaround has since been removed).
