I would like to request additional parameters that could be used to directly mess around with balance of weapon groups. As of now pistols and shotguns are completely outclassed by rifles. I noticed that this is mostly due to artificially low ranges, so you are out of range on pistol if you even shoot don a corridor of a family house. I played bigmaps on AIMNAS and in there pistols were actually pretty useful even if you already had rifles (CQC in buildings). I toyed around with extending rage, but I had to improve accuracy as well to compensate so I assume rifles will still rule.

I would like to be able to tip the balance toward some weapon group via some modifiers. Heres a list of what should be possible to change:

*range - % of total range, after including general weapon range modifier you can already set in the ini, ie.

(base range*(GUN_RANGE_MODIFIER/100))*(weapon type_RANGE_MODIFIER/100)

*cth modifier - already available in skills ini, but should be changed to total percentage (ie. 90 instead of -10) for uniformity with other proposed settings
*damage - again after including the general modifier first
*(possibly)AP to fire

And here are weapon groups:

ASSAULT_RIFLES
SNIPER_RIFLES
RIFLES
SMGS
LMGS
SHOTGUNS
PISTOLS
MACHINE_PISTOLS
ROCKET_LAUNCHERS
GRENADE_LAUNCHERS
MORTAR
THROWING_KNIVES
THROWING_GRENADES
HTH_ATTACK (without range modifier obviously)
KNIFE_ATTACK (same as above)

I could look like this

Assault Rifles

ASSAULT_RIFLES_RANGE_MODIFIER = 100
ASSAULT_RIFLES_CTH_MODIFIER = 90
ASSAULT_RIFLES_DAMAGE_MODIFIER = 100
ASSAULT_RIFLES_AP_TO_FIRE_MODIFIER = 100

And then other weapon types...

Such system would allow quick and easy access for players and modders to weapon balance without need to edit every weapon of the group.
