 the problem is the exe-hacking, you simply can't play it with a newer 1.13 built, btw this mod was written vor 1.07 originally (it was the far better version).

 The English translation is indeed underway including a 1.13 version. This project has jokingly been coined 'Vengeance Reloaded' which will also include some new graphics, never before seen characters and a general updating of the entire game to bring it up to date.

Development discussions have been moved to a closed forum for now, but some news is posted on the Vengeance English translation thread on here.

 Still in development more like.

Most if not all English translation has been done, just requiring recording of a handful more voices in English, cleaning up some bug ridden maps and integrating new tilesets. A new SCI is on the cards once this is done, but progress is very slow at the moment.

 Recently finished Vengeance (or should that be Wengeance?) for the first time. Loved it. No problem with the language and recruited all the added rpc's I think. Great fun. Ilja Dolvitch wins character of the mod. "God gives and me? I take away!" Rocking stuff. Love playing maps I've never played before for that how too? feeling. Deep in B2B VM now. Keep on modding.

 We're still working hard on getting a workable Beta, as well as adding new content so it's unlikely this will be ready by the end of the year.

Best to check in some time in 2014. (God, 2014 sounds like something from Tron!)

Anyone know how to finish this Mod, Deidranna dead, almost alls sectors conquered but game did not end.

Aside from this, I enjoyed it very much. Will give a try on Vengeance 1.13 in due time.

Half a decade later and I thought I'd check on how this project is coming along. cheeky Haha I don't mean to make a point of the time passed aww , just very eager to play the mod. angel Is the English 1.13 version still alive or have so many obstacles made matters so bad that work on it is all but given up now? not sure I found the Google Code hub made in 2012 but would be lost in compiling anything of course. suprised Anyway, fingers crossed bumping this thread sparks life back into it and fingers crossed in general that we'll at last also be able to enjoy what seems like an epic piece of work. heart Cheers. happy

 Vengeance: Reloaded is very much alive. We were hoping for a release in the new year (This year!) but due to team members career changes, personal tragedies, fire, famine and pestilence, and the fact 1.13 is a constant painful goalpost shifting marathon to keep up with the beta release is still some months away. No set date but the team are starting to lock down further developments and concentrate on bug fixing and getting a 'shippable' version out there...soon. angel

 Regarding fonts ...

I've tried running "Renegade Republic", either JA2 vanilla or JA2 1.13, and in either case I get
"Cannot init LARGEFONT.sti", solving that by putting it in Data folder, then running it as Administrator, and in XP SP2 mode,
I get:
"Cannot init FONT file FONT/CLOCKFONT.sti".
There is no clockfont.sti ... anywhere, at Bear's Pit, the Internet, anywhere ... except -> Wyświetl temat - clockfont.sti - Forum JACenter.pl

and I don't read Polish. And Google Translator didn't help.
How does one to get this mod to run?

 Sounds like your install is borked. CLOCKFONT.sti sits in the fonts SLF which will be part of your Vanilla install. Try installing a fresh JA2 and start again.
