After a nasty blue screen of death while saving my latest AIMNAS data set, my XML Editor won't load anymore.

I can't locate the exact place the editor screws up loading, though... all I get is:

Error: Root element is missing.

With my saved github release the editor works fine, so my assumption is, that something in my current working data got corrupted while saving. Question is, what...

I was going to do a github update after the save, which would have included quite a big bundle of newly added items, it would be more than disappointing if I could not restore my data and get the editor working again.

As far as I can tell, the data seems unharmed, the game does load with the data set, only the editor won't run anymore. angry

Any ideas?

Solved! Seems like the bluescreen of death screwed up all the lookup files in tabledata while saving. Glad I hadn't changed anything in there between versions... it could have been way worse... going to do an github backup now.

I just had an XML issue too. When starting the normal XML editor that comes with 1.13 I got this: "object reference is not set to an instance of an object" - I went ahead and cut the working files into a backup folder just in case it was something to do with that, but it doesn't seem to be it. I've been now using Notepad ++ to read and edit files, but I figured I should look up what that means anyway.

Edit: just found the bug report thread, feel free to delete this. If after searching there I can't find it, I'll post there. Couldn't find a delete button for this post...
