I'm not 100% sure this is a bug, but it escapes any rational judgement I have on the matter so this is only what I can currently perceive it to be.
After I'd fully taken over Drassen, I'd noticed that two of my squaddies had undergone some drastic changes in the health/strength department. This wasn't entirely surprising for me, as idiotic as it sounds, I was unsure how the dehydration feature worked, and must have ended up hauling several empty canteens around (I assume now that they just get refilled whilst residing in loyal towns?).
Because of this a few of my mercs' got hit badly in health and strength, but the stats never returned to normal -- no food, no training, no waiting and no sleeping seemed to change this. Even my dedicated doctor wasn't able to treat them, as the game would not allow the afflicted to become patients.
I find this a bit strange that the effects of severe dehydration could affect someone's physical ability to the point where they do not even seem to *slowly* recover.
Is this a bug? Or am I just 1.13 green?

Hi ElChicken, welcome to the pit!
This indeed sounds like a result of hunger & dehydration. You can doctor the stats back, but only once the patients are well fed/watered again (both values over 100%). After that, you should be able to doctor them.
Provided that a merc is thirsty enough, they will refill their canteen if possible, but that might be not enough to get them over 100%. You can refill all canteens in tactical via the [Ctrl] + [.] menu.
I know now that it could never work between us, as much as we wanted to, it could never be! Not because you're a rabbit, but because you're black.
If you want, you can donate to me. This will not affect how and what I code, and I will not code specific features in return. I will be thankful though.Report message to a moderator

Thank you very much Flugente, I appreciate the speedy response too!
Sorry for the noobish question, but how do I check that both values are over 100%? Is that in the inventory screen?
Ctrl & . eh? That's pretty nifty.. Is there any specific location you have to be in for this to happen?

Ahh, I finally discovered it earlier on when I booted the game again! Oddly enough, I can't seem to get the food or hydration level over 100%. Is there a way to force a mercenary to eat/drink without them doing so automatically?
