Doubtful about the possibility of this, but is there some way we could create an Action Queue of sorts, mainly for stealth purposes, so that way I can have 2 mercs attack at the same time, without the enemy being able to shout or react otherwise. this stems from my idea of on the Drassen Airfield map, somehow having one merc come from each side of the gate, and then both attacking and slitting the throats of the guards. Would of course have to be subject to standard chances of failures, perhaps only available in turnbased, as I feel this would not work in real-time.
The other idea is somewhat tied into the prior. again, doubtful, but perhaps some way to give half-decent instructions to Militia. maybe just nothing more than drawing lines, that they will (loosely) follow. If anyone has seen HOI4's battle planner, that is more or less the idea I have, but for tactical combat. Would be nice to tell them how I want them to attack, and let them work the rest out, and feel that this method would work nicely for that purpose.
Maybe these could be in some kind of planning mode/vision.
If anyone wonders where this idea comes from truly, it is a recurring dream I have of JA2. Manuel and another of my mercs take down the gate guards quietly, the militia rushes through the gate and begins. their attack, and then when the enemy at the ACA building hear the shots, another few mercs take them down no problem.
edit. sorry if this should belong in the Feature requests, I started typing this and for the duration of it, wholesale forgot about anything but my vision.

I have no Wife, Children, or real Job. This also means I have 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to think of a rebuttal. You have been warned.

This game is designed for turnbased tactical combat, you cannot do several different things at the same time when there's active battle going on.
You can always enable forced turnbased mode and do any complex maneuvers you wish.
Implementing more complex control over mercs in realtime mode is possible but unlikely as it's a lot of interface and other work with very little gain.
Improved militia control feature was implemented in experimental release, so at least it's possible if someone decides to add this.
This is how it looks in the game:

Ok, about the merc control, not what I meant, perhaps was wasn't clear. What I was suggesting was the potential to basically not have the enemy alert or interrupt in my example, I like the interrupt system, but if I were to try that, even in forced turnbased, it would often seem that they are not doing these things at the same time in a tactical sense, as the enemy seems to alert/interrupt. rereading that it sounds really unclear, Bad at explanations, if anyone can say what I was saying better, feel free. and 2, that militia control is very very close to what I was asking. all it needs now is to be able to make groups of militia, perhaps by box dragging or some other simple method. Though, still a win win already.

I think it would be really cool if one could pause the game in real-time mode and give commands, which are followed when the game is unpaused - like the plan & go feature in "JA: Back in Action". I regulary get my mercs isolated in real-time mode because i cannot move several mercs simultaneously to different targets
