but i doubt a bullet can go through 2-3 walls but yes bullets sometime can go through walls or doors.

In Ja2+AI, enemy can shoot on heard only enemies, so they don't need to see you, they even can shoot at position where your soldier was heard/seen 2 turns ago for suppression.
