I would like to extract the AIM merc portraits from the game files and the highest available resolution.

What tool would I need to do that, or are they already somewhere available ?
Thanks.

You'll need to extract them from the FACES.SLF in your Data folder with an unpacker such as DragonUnpacker. You'll then have the original pics in their propriety .sti format which you can edit or convert in programs such as Stiedit or JA2STI. You'll probably want to use the BIGFACES files which are the largest available at 106x122 pixels in size.
