As in title. Can't find anything in code, beside "base shooting upwards" modifier. Since legs or head are an inherently smaller target[especially head] is there any penalty to CtH in the code applied to them?

Something is reducing the CtH. Target something and hit 'F' to get numerical chance. Legs and head usually always have less CtH for a given range, unless really close. Is range considered a penalty?

The psuedo-code discussion at http://ja2v113.pbworks.com/w/page/4218322/"How%20does%20it%20work"%20Part%204%3A%20Chance-to-Hit discusses a body-part penalty. I don't know how this jives with current builds.

Are you talking about OCTH or NCTH? In OCTH you have penalties for legs of 1% CTH per tile and for the head of 4% CTH per tile (SHOT_HEAD_PENALTY in JA2_Options.ini). In NCTH there is no such thing, because here it only matters if the bullet hits the target structure and where.

I was talking NCTH based on what I observe in game. 'F' always shows heads and legs having lower chance to hit. A current char w/AS VAL at range of 15 shows 32/80/68 for head/torso/legs. If no distinction is made why is head and legs less?

But checking... I was actually playing OCTH, NCTH wasn't actually enabled as I thought.

Hi, im adding question here: Is there hotkey to switch between targeted body parts? sometimes legs are not visible with mouse cursor.
