This question is for v1.12

I'm planning to give the chalice to KINGPIN, for a short sale and temporary "safekeeping". Then kill KINGPIN and all his goons, to get the chalice back and return it to the people of Arulco.

If I give the chalice to KINGPIN, and kill him weeks after, will I be able to recover the chalice? How much time do I have to get the chalice from KINGPIN?

Is there a loyalty boost Arulco-wide for killing KINGPIN?

-I like the boxing miniquest and get the max amount of money every time, not to mention the stat boosts. I'd like to postpone killing KINGPIN as much as possible.

-If there's no benefit from killing KINGPIN, like loyalty increase, I rather just give the Chalice to the people and keep boxing.

Giving the chalice to Kingpin results in an arulco-wide loyalty decrease. Apart from the measly reward he gives you, there is no reason to give it to him, imho.

I know now that it could never work between us, as much as we wanted to, it could never be! Not because you're a rabbit, but because you're black.

If you want, you can donate to me. This will not affect how and what I code, and I will not code specific features in return. I will be thankful though.

My Strategy as far as Kingpin goes is....rescue the girl discretely. Meet the man and bet on the fighting...Brass knuckles and good fighting school a must. Listen to his request then still his money. When his hitmen come after you one at a time kill them and secure good stuff. Then go after him and his people. Won't be easy you'll never raise militia in the town but it will be yours and Tony will always be happy to sell you items when things settle down.

hi i gave chalice to kingpin and the penalty is not a big deal if we are not talking about balime (currently 18%) but i dont know if it is related to this quest because i have never had a trouble with other towns' loyalty and all of them is 100% (only alma is about 95%, because it is newly liberated and it will be 100% after a few fights between militia and army).

anyway the question is i gave it to kingpin in very early game and i just killed kingpin right now but there is no chalice on his corpse. so what did i do wrong? how much time do we have to kill kingpin after we gave him chalice? because i waited more than a month big grin

-Rescue the girl get the shop and make a deal. Do it right no issues.
-Win some money at boxing and learn about the quest.
-Steal his money from the tunnel and not return it.
-Kill the guys he sends (one at a time) & get some great gear. (Flo had just arrived in country and spent most of her time marching. She arrived in a an urban sector with full militia, normally I pick safe spots for my mercs to sleep but she was on the edge of the map when the hitman arrived. He blasted her full of bullets and barely survived. Since there was militia their turn kicked in an one militia trooper blasted the hitman with a shotgun and took his head off. Combat over. Flo spent the rest of the time healing and then training but was well armed).
-Go back to town I recommend at night and wipe him and his crew out. Not easy and you don't get the option to raise a militia but the queen's forces don't take up residence either. This gives you free access to the brothel. Plenty of drinks are left around and it is easier to visit Tony.
