Hi, Tox!

Thanks for the tool, but I got some problems while I tried to install it.

I got a message saying that "sorry, an error has occurred. Cannot install the software because the installation file was damaged. please tried to get new installation file from the author of the software". The message was in Chinese so that I briefly translate it.

Do you have any suggestion about what I can do? I have re-install Adobe Air, but problem remains....

You need to change system date to one year ago. The proplem is in sertificate validation and change date works for me.

I used JA2STI 1.5 for 1000 .sti files and extracted roughly 35.000 Images and I am still happy with the program.

Things I noticed [but am not sure if it is the program or my computer causing it]

Technical Issue:
- freeze or crash after opening around 100 .sti files.
- it seem's to crash earlier, when the images are zoomed in [within the program]
- it even seems to crash earlier when lets say these 100 .sti files are contained in 100 folders
as if you have this 100 .sti files in one folder.

Usability Question:
Some .sti files have several animations but I have not found a setting yet,
where one can extract all images from all animations within one .sti file.
If I extract an .sti file with 8 animations with each 12 images, the program
creates 8x12 images with the first 12 images being the first animation but
the rest of the images are just a repeat of the last image.
So far I have to manully create 8 folders, one for each animation and extract
all 12 images nicely and automatically but then have to switch to the next animation manually.

Could that be implemented in the next update or am I just not seeing the settings for that?

Optical Question:
I am in my root directory in JA2STI 1.5 and enter a folder with 10 folders that contain each 10 .sti files.
Now I click on folder 0001 and the program shows me the according .sti files in the little window to the right of the
root folder window.
But this makes the root folder folders disappear and all I see is the .sti files on the window to the right.
Now I have to go up a directory to see the other 9 folders again. If I do that a lot, the program crashes earlier.

So could you make it so that the last or deepest folder of the directory stays displayed in the root folder window,
and I understand that this would make no sense for the other up-higher folders, unless you make all files
visible in that second window right beside it.

I am just thinking loud here and am still very greatfull for this program big grin

Old member here. I was hoping someone converted all the STIs to PNG or WebM by this point.

A new version of Wizardry 8 Tool 1.0.7.2840 "Wizardry 8 tool 1.0.7 STI Image Editor" has been released. I wanted to give a convenient tool for editing STI.

Previously, who developed mods for Wizardry8, they used the GRV and STI-Editor programs from the Jagged Alliance 2 game to create or edit images and animations.
Therefore, it was decided to create an "STI Image Editor" for Wizardry 8.

Features: 16 bit or 32 bit image converts to 8 bit without loss of quality. (above link with video presentation).
