Revisiting this game after a long break! Running the newest version, and part way through my game the arrival destination for hires is now set at L15 Forest, an area below a city I do not control. Is this an inadvertant setting of mine, bug or correctable in some way?

Check
DEFAULT_ARRIVAL_SECTOR_X = 9
DEFAULT_ARRIVAL_SECTOR_Y = 1
in Ja2_Options.ini, and check that you control this sector.
If default sector is enemy controlled, the game will try to find closest available sector to drop new mercs, and inform you in the game log.

Yeah, since Flugente reworked the SAM coverage, only A9 is free for landing, A10 is not any more, and that means that when army takes over A9 (and they always do that) landing moves to closest free sector and that is somewhere south of Alma.

Both correct. Sector A0 had been taken and was back in my control. If you view the SAM coverage on the strategic map, there is an icon for incoming mercs, that can be moved. Thanks for the help.
