Howdy all
decided to return back to ja after a very long time and i have a couple of questions.
first of, all i've been reading the dev updates on the forums for a couple of weeks and finally decided to give it a go with ja install + v1.13 + seven's unofficial mod (7609en+Modpack size around 2gb with +ai). this was the order that i installed.
running the game via ini editor, decided to go with AIMNAS since i was familiar with that from way back.
1st q: is this mod, AIMNAS, still current or should i simply move to another one?
2nd q: when launching from ini editor i am also selecting \Data-Aim for the data ini, is this ok or as long as i've selected a MOD from the first drop down at the top, it doesn't matter?
3rd q: with the install sequence above, did i do anything wrong? reason i ask is because so far i am at day 3 in my campaign, going about Drassen slowly however there are no loots to be found in the crates or lockers etc, only what soldiers happen to drop and those are simply put awful. now i do realize the coolness factor however iirc i should be able to find things in houses and warehouse yards like everyday items like rags medkits etc right? well, absolutely nothing so far. for * and giggles i even deviated and went for the army base west of drassen and same issue, there are nothing to be found anywhere no weapons no ammo...at a fortified army base?!
4th q: some of the mod names are unfamiliar to me. for ex. LP or SDO? i can make out the older ones like urban chaos and arulco revisited since they were from my time back then but where can i find a list of a current abbreviations wrt mods? i did check the relevant topics for abvr and mods in the forum but they don't seem to cover all.
5th q: with my current campaign i initially started like the good ole' days and i couldn't even get the first map. then i cheated to see wtf is going on and upped the budget to 999999 and bought all available top notch guys with half of my money. however still at this stage in game almost each drassen sector has at least 20 soldiers + reinforcements + roaming ones no matter from which side i charge the drassen sector i simply get overwhelmed.
now don't get me wrong i am not complaining about the game being hard but it seems something's here is off maybe? understand, i did not capture the entire drassen so there shouldn't be a counterattack yet?
also this has a downside as well, even with bigger maps (which i suppose defaults with AIMNAS nowadays?) 30-40 enemy at any given map along with the civvis has a lot of waiting time and stuck ai turn phases. i'd say my ctrl+alt+del ratio is about 50/50. is this normal or have i made an error in the install sequence?
finally is there a recent list of key bindings? i understand there's alot of alt+rmb going on but what else is new?
