There is one map when I load up SOG that does not load up. It says map *something* not loaded ... expects *number* of soldiers there or something like that.
I haven't been to that sector yet so I am not sure of the consequences of that map not loaded. :whoknows:

SOG periodically crashes and I can't seem to isolate it to a particular set of events. It crashes sometimes when mercs are talking, or in the middle of a fire fight or in the tactical screen or looking at a weapon or defusing a trap so on and so forth. No rhyme or reason at all. :wb:

I am not sure if the mod is inherently unstable or if it is a product of some sort of incompatibility with my computer. I run winXP by the way and I have the correct UB update plus the SOG patch updates too.

The crashes are annoying but I learned to quick save every couple of turns so I don't lose too much progress.

I'll try to be more specific about the first point in the next post as soon as I get home but if anyone have any ideas that can help or clarify these issues, that would be great. Thanks.

Problems: Map problem is caused by one missing soldier. Crash bug is caused by enemy that tries to load VC Shotgun.

So, check out this thread and download patches. http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=32;t=000118

actually I checked out that thread before ... dl the patches and installed them.
They have solved a host of problems like the Tay Ninh to LZ Astro crash.
The problems in the first post was associated with events after the patch install.
As for the missing man and map not loading .... could I just go to editor and manually add or delete a guy?
As for the periodic crashes, maybe JAUB is just not very compatible with winXP at all.
