You could also hack the AttachObjectOAS and AttachObjectNAS functions (they're nearly carbon f-cking copies of each other Sad

) to do something like:
1) Check if base item = tripwire and attachment = gun
2) If yes try attach (skill check?). If successful, dump all attachments from gun into inventory.

It'll probably get messy quickly though.
