Good noose! Thanks to DepressivesBrot's google skills and my willingness to put an eye-watering amount of time into this, I now have access to all sounds from all 3 games... and listened to ALL of them. I have thus added a lot more dialogues, and improved exiting ones. In addition I corrected an error in the profile that could cause the face to glitch during talking.
You can get Femshep V1.1 here.
Shepard is now the first merc ever to make full use of all buddy/hate slots - she has 6 buddies, and hates 6 others. This will no doubt make team building more fun (imagine if that were the case for every merc!). Her buddies are:
- Len (Anderson) is a distinguished veteran and a highly professional squadleader. It's reasonable to believe those two have crossed passed paths before, and will work well together.
- Kelly is another experienced veteran. Shepard seems to appreciate him... perhaps even more than just from a professional standpoint (somewhat amusing if you've played ME2, where yeoman Kelly Chambers is a comic relief character. Apart from the bit where she gets liquified alive, or commits suicide-by-terrorist if tell her you hate her. Renegade 4ever!!!).
- While she prefers direct confrontations, Shepard is okay with subterfuge... if the spy doing it is competent, like Mouse. She will even reference Mouse's spy skills directly. Mouse' hatred of Fox will even rub off on Shepard, as she learns to hate Fox.
- Major Spike Scallion is another highly competent veteran that worked with Shepard on some (classified) missions.
- The lieutnant (Stogie) is an accomplished warrior who's always in the thick of the fighting, just like the Commander. They work well together, but that's purely professional, as she will tell you yourself.
- Scully (James) might be a sleazebag, but he's a highly competent sleazebag. Shepard is willing to work everybody as long as they are capable and willing to fulfill the mission, no matter what. Apart from Reaper, that guy can die in a fire.
On her hated list are:
- Conrad is not only a overrated showoff full of himself, he also trained the enemy... and was willing to abandon them as soon as your team came knocking. Someone like that cannot be trusted.
- Her hatred of Reaper is probably only rivaled my Buzz's opinion of Lynx.
- Skitz is a deranged, insubordinate drug addict. Shepard is... not a fan.
- Jack (Postie) had a breakdown when working at the post office. How can you trust him to keep your back in a warzone?
- Shepard made the shaman's (Wahan) acquaintance before (perhaps she was also in Metavira, in some top-secret operation?). She is wary of his whole 'mystical' business, and will warn you about his methods.
- While initially friendly to Fox, Shepard will grow increasingly hostile to the paramedic, as she considers her to be less than capable on the field. Perhaps Fox' attention-grabbing demeanour also factors in to this?
Mercs that would have also been possible, but didn't make it due to not exactly fitting lines and not enough slots:
- Williams (Ice), surprisingly. Would have worked splendid if he was a woman.
- Jenkins (Leech)
- Grace
- Captain (Bob)
- Steve (Grizzly)
If someone were willing to cut/paste and generally edit soundfiles, those would be possible to, but I have enough of wading through thousands of .ogg files for now.
As it is unlikely anyone hires Shepard to have her sit down and repair items, I've replaced the Engineer gear kit with Adept. As we don't exactly have gravity-altering skills, she instead gets a huge amount of stun grenades (hand and 40mm) that allow to keep entire squads pinned down. The new drugs are also used in the gear kits.
This has been built for r7910 & GameDir r2259, but will also work with older or newer releases. At worst you will have to adapt a the xmls that come with this.
As I've been asked this before: If one wants another full voiceset from these games, your best start would the male Shepard, as he has the same lines (apart from romance and woman power! options). Perhaps Garrus and Liara (would require also stripping the Shadow Broker DLC) would also work. Tali's voice would require a good justification, and Ash and Kaiden are absent in ME2.

I know now that it could never work between us, as much as we wanted to, it could never be! Not because you're a rabbit, but because you're black.
If you want, you can donate to me. This will not affect how and what I code, and I will not code specific features in return. I will be thankful though.Report message to a moderator
