I have come to what I think is the last room in the tunnel before the rocket site (The one with the big metal door)
There are four switches but I cant seem to be able to open the metal door, anyone got any tips????

I've the same problem, I can't get past those doors and I can't find any stairs leading up.

The wall opposite of the door you came into the room with The Door has a door you can open. It leads into a corridor that leads into another room (how surprising). There may be some enemies, but I quess you know how to deal with 'em.
That room has two doors. The one you'll want to open is upper/rightmost. open it and... what do you see? Wait, don't tell me! You see stairs going up! No need to thank me.
