1)JOEY
In 5.0 I never had problems escorting Joey to Cambria with male characters.
Yesterday I went for a beautiful ALL BLACK team, containing Len(white hair),Dr.Q(black hair),the blonde Raven and a red haired IMP girl.
Just escorted Joey to his mom, with the female IMP character(ldr.40)
I went direct on him("I don't know no Joey"),then threaten("OK,I'll go with you...")
When I got to Martha all she said was "Why?Why?" and went hostile."You're craizy",said Joey.Loyalty dropped.
Got pissed off, reloaded without seeing Martha, and ditched him in G9,hoping he will disappear.No.
He sits there, going "you're craizy" and making the town loyalty drop(whether I kill him or not!)anytime one of my mercs enters in his visual range.W(t)F is wrong?

PS:the only patch installed is the I8 map.I never kill civilians, aside from the Hicks. And that,to my mind is the only thing that should cause Martha/Joey being hostile.

It's not that the red haired IMP bitch that threatened Joey into submission isn't craizy,but...

2)JOHN AND MARY
Once they ended up being left alone in Grumm, protected by militia.Attacks were succeeding quickly,so I figured I should arm them.Gave John a Ruger 30 rifle and Mary an USP and a first aid kit.
Problems:
a)I know her strength is(should be) something like 10 or 20,but she moves between sectors on foot in 6 hours now. That should not happen.
b)I finally got them to Drassen airport. They did not return the weapons!Damn, they had all the supported attachements!
Not immediately(airport customs should be all over them),and not when the MP7 beauties arrived,a week later.

Martha and Joey have company in their group in 5.0 - you seems to kill or hart some one of unnamed civilians.

BTW: Unless you edited profile Terrorist in wheelchair is also inviolable - you can only hire him, but if you will kill him there will be a lot problems with locals - he accidently put in one of their groups...

In Ja2 behaviour of civilians strongly tied to their body type. John is fat man and mary is female
And none types other them Reg Male and Reg Female can use weapons so giving them guns is useless.
2.Civilians can give you only those items, which scripted to be given in quest description. They do not supposed to give you back anything other, so any item once given to civiliand no matter of it's type can't be got back by other way then killing him.

1)They figure as fighting AND SHOOTING on autoresolve, when militias are there and there is an enemy attack.
The weapons are given to them from hand in hand,(in the IMP's inventory, give option, bla, bla, bla) not edited in their inventories!

2)Also,when they are alone in a town sector with no militia, armed, and enemies attack,I don't get the message "enemy invaded and none of your MERCS are able to fight".They are treated as regular mercs, given the chance to surrender and ,if the answer is no,regularly butchered.

Thanks for the replies.
How do you explain that?

I took good care not to harm or kill any civilians.Killed some cows,though...
This is the only valid explanation(killing a civilian in the same group) that makes sense, yes.
Or my bad red haired girl has played a little with Joey's young and pathetic little balls.

Sorry to but in here and I mean this without a trace of sarcasm: Someone needs to make Azazel a beta testor.
He's figured out some of the most nebulous features.

Bravo man!

John and his wife don't return weapons in the regular JA2 either. What were they doing in Grumm, btw?? It's much easier to take them to San Mona and then Drassen.

They were escorting the red haired babe,in order to have Grumm some 15% more loyal, after the complete conquest, than if the girl conquered the town alone. Smile
Once again a situation where the escorted chars count as regular mercs...
