Attitude effects
Advantages & disadvantages of available attitudes; Wed, 06 January 2021 21:56
The new skill traits include the character traits which clearly show their advantages and disadvantages when hovering over them in the according laptop view.
With the old skill traits chosen, there are various attitudes instead of character traits but this time hovering doesn't display the advantages nor the disadvantages.
Does anybody know or have a list what each of these attitudes exactly do?

Asking help for modding walk behaviour...

If this is not in correct section, please let me know. This is the first time I'm ever using a online community.
So first of all, I played this game for like 20 years. (I was born with this game, in 1994. I still have the original CD)
And in 2013, I discovered 1.13 version and patched my game.
Since then, I never updated it and have been so satisfied
(Basically it means I'm used to play semi-vanilla version)
Recently I downloaded JA2 in Steam and patched latest 1.13 mod. I had to.
I lost seven year old modded JA2 folder due to the personal server breakdown. 
My mind is blown (there is SO MUCH new options and stuff! Jejus) after the installation and spent an hours just setting INI in my taste.
But one thing bothers me and I don't know how to fix.
When my boys (and girls) moves in real time mode, it's fine.
But when it's in turn based mode (like invading in Omerta) my soldiers stays in moving motion when they moved as if they were interrupted. (I added image)
In vanilla and old 1.13 version, the animation goes back to standby after they move. The newest version doesn't.
It bothers me (dunno why) and I manually make them standby by pressing escape every time.
I dug in INI editor for half of an hour and couldn't find the setting for this.
Is this a bug? or just me missing the option?
Please let me know how to do.
BTW I am so grateful for people who've been making this mod.
One day, after I get enough wealth, I will gather and join a dev team and make JA2 remastered version.
(Better graphics, improved AI, maybe immersive epilogue and so on)
If I can, also make a mobile version (so that I could liberate Arulco in my toilet)
Cloud-synchronised save would be nice. Hmm.
So much ideas but after gathering a fortune. It's not gonnabe a business, probably starts as my weekend project and ends with gigantic github repository.

New things you learn (rehiring Biff)

So I started a new game. Tried to hire Meltdown but she wouldn't go for it bc I had Biff on my team. So I figured heh I'll just terminate Biff, hire Meltdown, then rehire Biff. When I go back to the Merc page to rehire Biff, Speck informs me that Biff is unavailable due to him now writing a book on "manners" on the combat field. Is this a normal thing is Biff no longer available after you terminate him?

Unstable SCI 8918 + WF maps

Are they compatible? I have GOG JA2, installed latest unstable 8918 and put Wildfire 6.07 maps as instructed. It seems to run just fine but I didnt leave starting area yet. It did show some error in top left corner the first time I launched the game but I didnt have time to read it all.
It was something about INI missing something. The Wildfire maps have its own INI and it overwrites the unstable INI. Will this cause problems later with some features being removed or bugged?

Problems running the game

Hey
Recently i bought JA2 from GOG.
It seems its the ceorrect Gold version.
I tried running it on my new laptop with Win10 and it works.
Bought WF and it works too.
But when i install 1.13 on the JA2 Gold its full of bugs.
I played 1.13 before and never had those problems.
The 7609 version had problems even launching.
Had a lot of Fatal Errors, mainly during enemy turn.
It was a mess.
Then i installed the JA2 1.13 BETA ENG (Gr_8912) (Dr_2579).
It launches nicely, didnt have to change anything.
But this version has a bug that happens in the middle of the game.
The cursor freezes but i hear the music running.
Is this a common bug? Could i fix it?

CTHConstants.ini
Question about editing the file for NCTH; Tue, 29 December 2020 21:34
Is there any widely recommended setting for the CTHConstants other than the default settings for 1.13 (7609)?
I tried the ones recommended in sevenfm's sig and oh boy - the game got better, but in the back of my mind I have a nagging feeling that maybe it made the game too easy since with randomized mercs/kits and scopes my mercs are actually able to hit things reliably from the get go.

Various questions

I've been offline for quite a while and am now trying to get back into JA 2 1.13.
So far I've encountered a few questions somebody might be able to answer.
- I downloaded Depri's latest available 1.13 pack (Revision 8796 on GameDir 2531) but then read in some other thread that this isn't the latest release to get.
Can anybody point me to where I can always find the latest release?
- While browsing through the various XML files I noticed there are still some typos.
Which is the best way (e. g. contact person) to make sure they get corrected for upcoming releases?
- Last time (~ two years ago) I still had an individual avatar for my forum account which isn't available anymore.
Have individual avatars since been removed?
- I know that evolution within MercProfiles.xml sets whether mercenaries can or can not increase their stats but there are more than just two values.
What do the values "1", "2", and "5" exactly stand for?
