hehe, actually, this mod is huge scale, done by very few persons on the basis of a routinely changing and developing engine.

given this situation and the kind of features involved, it's probably the fastest developed ja2 mod ever Wink

i had a look at one of the oldest postings here. we're officially at it since april 2006 as it seems. Less than one and a half years. in ja2 mod developing scales, that's not long at all

of course, some of the stuff existed prior to that, but we've been removing old stuff subsequently.

Pretty quick work compared to others. We will know for certain when it is in full release.

Key point is the changing JA2 v1.13. The suggestion that a "stable version" be created for giving a solid platform to mod teams sounds like a good idea to me.

But I just do voices, so I'll just shut up now. Wink

I saw the topic where the beta can be downloaded...but I have a question:there're several additional packages besides the original pack, is there a certain way to add them to the beta and how to do it?I'm wondering about how to proceed with the installing of the beta...

basicly, installing the beta that comes from the several download locations itself is very easy. Just extract the contents of the archive into the folder where your ja2 is located, typically where you have the file ja2.exe

only file supposed to be overwritten would be ja2.ini

after you have done this, you can add all the other packages, they normally don't conflict with each other so there should be no problem as to in which sequence you install them

the faces addition pack has its own exe so if you use this patch you mustn't install any other exe's afterwards.
