I'm using a very old version of Jagged Alliance 2, from sir-tech. I want to install mods like the 1.13 mod, but it (and mostly every other mod) requires JA2 Gold 1.12. Is there any way to patch my original JA2 (1.6) to Jagged Alliance 2 Gold 1.12?

This doesn't work. Patch 1.12 errors out with "Cannot find installation of Jagged Alliance 2 Gold on your computer." Like I said, I don't own JA2 Gold. I have the very first version of JA2 from sir-tech.

Just update your version 1.06 to 1.07 and then install 1.13 and it will work just fine.

 I start with a copy of JA2 1.03 and I can patch directly to 1.13 with no problems.

There are 2 versions of 1.13 available for download, make sure you have the "release" and not the "patch".

 I have an old set of Ja2 CD's that install version 1.0.0.1 and I just installed the 1.13 mod directly without any problems.

I did not try to patch version 1.0.0.1 to anything newer before installing 1.13 and everything seems to work fine so far.

I have the Ja2 that you have to copy the ja2.exe off of the CD after installing the game in order to get it working. The one from TalonSoft.

Im also not able to patch my version beyound 1.07 it just says jagged alliance 2 gold not installed I have a talonsoft version as well I got the fileplanet 1.12 patch and it doesnt work , Where can I get this 1.13 release ?

 The 1.12 gold patch is for the gold version of JA2. The Talonsoft version only goes to 1.07. Then if you want to install 1.13, it works just fine over 1.07, you don't need the 1.12 gold patch. Besides 1.13 includes all of what 1.12 offered anyway. Smile

Well, it seems it is actually possible to patch any JA2 version to JA Gold 1.12. Check http://members.lycos.co.uk/dvornik/
