One of the things I love about the JA series are the moments of quirky humour when you least expect it.
For example, I still get a chuckle whenever Hamous says 'Dog!' when he sees a bloodcat. I was actually ROFL the first time I heard it many moons ago. Then theres all the exploding headshot comments, some of them are classics.
Recently, whilst browsing the extensive collection of items at Bobby Rays (playing v1.13), I came across this description of the Winchester Magnum .300 AP ammo:
"The .300 Winchester Magnum can be considered a standard hunting round, though these bullets are for the deer with Kevlar vest."
To whoever thought up this description: :ok:
Feel free to share your moments of unexpected funnies from this game.

My friends like to listen to stories from the game because I usually make IMPs based on them and tell them when something happens to them.
"Sorry KC, you got shot in the face and lost 24 points of wisdom. You're basically retarded now LOL"
But one of the funniest things was when one of these said IMPs jumped down from a building. He jumped down in front of a window, and a red shirt got the interrupt and blew him away with fully automatic fire.
"Brock I have bad news"
"Was I shot again or something?"
"No... Not that... well.. um, you see, you weren't so much shot, it's more like you occupied the same space as a dozen bullets."

LogistericIvanTheTerrible I usually make IMPs based on them (= friends)
i do exactly the same - mostly let them built an IMP in vanilla. i told a friend of mine that blood comments on bubba (both in her squad) - as she has a fable for black men, she demanded bubba to be shot at the spot. since then i usually shoot bubba when the first black guy complains about him
Haha! Exactly. My one friend brock, well he demanded that I make him like Rambo, only no morals and likes to kill stuff. Well long story short he actually becomes my best merc and kicks quite a bit of ass. When Brock was over watching me he saw me talk to Pablo about the missing shipments and...
Brock, "Did he steal all that stuff?"
Me, "Yeah. He's a sleeze ball. You can get your stuff back plus some goodies if you beat them out of him."
Brock, "Eff that."
Brock pushes me out of the way so he controls the mouse, and he commands his character to shoot pablo in the face on burst mode with his Famas.
Me, "Well I suppose that's one way to do it."
His character is also the resident explosives/heavy weapons guy.

I had a good laugh yesterday.
I was liberating Cambria Mine for the second time (the first they took sector back faster than I could train militia to defend it, tanking my support below the point I could train militia at all). I had my four-IMP team on the roof of the mining building. The nighttime stealthy approach didn't go quite as planned, and resistance proved tougher than expected. Spotting three hostiles clustered close together, Ki, my stealth/grenadier (whos actually based on my RL GF) decided to drop some HE on em. The shell BOUNCED OFF THE HEAD of a fourth soldier halfway between her and the target, and continued on to detonate in the middle of the clustered troops.
Of course, the rest of the fight was far less funny, since after climbing down to hunt stragglers, my team got picked apart by an uber-night vision sniper, and no one was in position and/or had AP to pop smoke, and trying to close just got a breaklight dropped on my feet, and trying to get out of the halo-of-death resulted in walking into further interupts, and the 'stragglers' turned out to be at least a dozen in number, followed by the discovery that autosave was off, meaning the only way to not lose half the afternoon was to gabbi-cheat...

Help I've FN FAL-en and I can't get up!
Raven, coming around a corner and coming face to face with a bug..."Call the God Damn cavalry!", caught me just right and I had to stand up I was laughing so hard!
Maddog, getting the killshot on the queen, gets a blue ribbon for having the most emotional, and unique outburst!
