Just started a game in 1.12...Weirdest behavior.

I click, I tell people to move, they move...

But only walking backwards, strafing sideways, etc. No forward-looking movement at all.

What the hell?

Sounds like your ALT key is stuck. Happens if....

You have programs running in the background that look for ALT key

You have a dirty keyboard

You have Sticky keys turned on

You tried to ALT-Tab out of the game and managed NOT to lock up the whole damn thing

Possibly other reasons I don't even know about.

Actually it happens sometimes when you ALT+L in game. Just press ALT again and release and movement should be normal.

 never actually seen that before , didnt know it could happen . always something new .
we are talking about ja2 here and not some 3d type thing ?

 It happens from time-to-time in JA2 and has way back to non-1.13. I usually see it when I am using my KVM switch or if I switch to another program and then back to JA2. It does appear like the Alt key is stuck but for movement only.

Ah cool, I had a similar thing with Ctrl-Esc ...
Meh thinks that the JA-'window' exits in a condition where alt/ctrl is pressed.

When I return to the game and I want the mercs to move,
they'll show me the let's grab this icon.

It adds a new dimension of tension.
