Obviously this is a problem. I thought landmines planted by your squad were supposed to be instantly flagged? Mine are not, this makes it difficult to know where they are and to disarm them heheh. Is there a hotkey I pressed that caused this? I tried detecting them with no success. I even tried planting them with a low explosives skill merc then detecting with my highest explosives skilled merc. Again, no success.

Please help. Thanks.

Nope they are not flagged instantly. In fact I'm not sure you can detect them in the same "session". But there's a trick that you can use to flag them almost instantly (by resetting the "session"), place the mine, quicksave, quickload and make a move with your merc and he/she will flag it.

Obviously this is some kind of bug/limitation. I don't remember how it worked before but mines have always been a bit strange.

It seems like mines you place should be auto flagged. My squad should know where they placed mines right? Anyway thanks again.

I don't think they should be automatically flagged but there should be some way of flagging them easily. By a hotkey that flags all your mines or a key that toggles auto flagging off and on.

Makes me wishes you could jump over flagged landmines. And more importantly, allow enemies to jump over flagged landmines (no more flag barricades!!). You could leave some crappy item next to each mine as a reminder if you want to remember where you placed mines.

Leave it with ammo to entice the enemy to try to pick it up Wink

Also flagging should be faction specific. So if you are allied with a certain faction (militia) they can see your flagged mines, but the enemy should not.

Badabump! 2 years later and this behaviour still seems to occur. Did anyone fix the 'can't see my own mines' bug?
