I'm having massive trouble with night missions lately, only been playing for a week or so and only fight in the day, i've bought NVGs and attached them to my mercs helmets, do i need to do anything to activate them or are they passive?
I get a message on the screen saying "check your goggles"?

Also press SHIFT+N when you enter a sector at night. It'll replace all sunglasses with the top-quality NVGs the merc has. In the day, it'll replace all NVGs with the top-quality sunglasses the merc has. I use that particular shortcut liberally.
