Hi everyone,

I am a veteran gamer but i have stopped playing JA2 a while ago so i didn't follow all the new 1.13 versions and mods.
Lately i was feeling like it is that time again, time for JA2! I have always enjoyed Tbirds DBB mod and i wanted to use it again.
After i tried to find the latest version, in which i failed i guess, i thought an older version is fine too.
Everything worked fine until i had to reinstall everything on my PC today including JA2.
By accident i somwhow downloaded Sandro's mod (i think) and to be honest, it looked interesting.
The problem was, i thought it is 1.13 and i also installed DBB...
Now to the problems i encountered:

1. It was and still is VERY confusing to find the stuff you want!
I know that there is a thread which lists the mods, but at least DBB is very wierd.
From what i can remember, the 908 file is not online anymore, the 908B and the 909 file are the same...
I also think i saw something like DBB 914 or something somewhere in this forum.
To be honest, i gave up looking for the latest version!
First because it is hard to find and second because i can't tell if i only need the latest version or if i have to install 904 then 905 then 906 and so on.

2. For some reason i couldn't attach anything to my weapons in Sandro's mod but maybe that was because i also installed DBB mod.

3. Can i use Sandro's mod and DBB at the same time?
If yes, which version of 1.13 do i need?
Which version of Sandro's mod? Which DDB version?
Does Sandro's mod have the same items as DBB?

I know i might sound like a blockhead but i am really confused right now!
I just want to play at least 1.13 with DBB mod and if i could also use Sandro's mod at the same time that would be perfect!
Could anyone please help me?
Thanks

Getting a running DBB install going is a bit difficult, yes. They somehow disappeared after releasing v920beta. Tais is currently trying to pack a clean installer from this mess.

To shorten the wait, why not try his AIMNAS SCI instead? Great mod that adds lots of new items, reworks the maps (loosely based on the WF maps), did I mention full integration of Sandro's mod? Good fun and much better quality control.

#### (3111 or 4057)is simply a revision (of exe) number (=the higher the newer) and you are so right why bother reading anything or just use one's brain (assuming, of course, their is one) when it's so easy to start a rabb

Heh, i don't know where this elitism came from all of a sudden, but i like it.
Makes me feel like im at SRK. At least some people could answer a few of my questions.
Thanks for that! Also, thanks to the others for not being as lazy and dumb as i am, your posts really helped to improve the quality of this thread, showing me that you really care about helping people and sacrificing your precious time for that cause. Thanks!!!

I don't think it's elitism, i guess your post caught me in a bad mood, i have no problem helping anybody out if i can.

But in fairness, you wanted somebody else to do the leg work for you instead of, as i crudely put it above, engaging with the forum. Those questions have been asked/answered many times.

It was a bit over the top, i apologise for that.

lol it's the internet, no big deal, everythings cool.
I know i could have searched the stuff myself and that was exactly what i did.
The only problem is when you find like 10 different versions of 1.13 or the mod you are looking for in 10 different threads and some are SCI, some are 7z, it can get confusing really quick especially if you don't visit the forum regularly.
Thats why i asked what the difference between "JA2 1.13 3111 exe SVN@1194 Full.exe" and "SCI_113Beta_r4057_20110116.7z" is because stuff is really inconsistent sometimes.
Like, why isnt it called "JA2 1.13 v3111.exe" and "JA2 1.13 v4057 Beta.7z" or something like that?
The thread you linked seems really helpful btw, thanks.
But you most know this, i did not force anybody to help me, i'd rather have no answer at all than a cheeky comment.
Anyway, i appreciate the help from the people who where actually willing to help.

It is hard to keep up with. I think at times you haven't a hope in hell deciphering half the stuff out there unless you are a modder yourself, and even then it's still a challenge!
