yo, how are you?


got a little problem with the new release... actually this was already a problem in 4057...

anyway. the last build i played before 4057 was 3358. in that build, if you hit "end" the merc view is shown and most importanly stays on PERMANENTLY. hit it again, switches to cover display, PERMANENTLY. hit "end" again to turn both off...


can somebody please tell me why that was changed?
actually please just tell me how to return the new "del"/"end" nonsense to the old system.

end and delete were reverted to be similar to what was known before for those buttons.

i think u need to hold ctrl-shift v for sticky/toggle merc view and ctrl-shift c for sticky/toggle cover view.

i changed the name of this topic so i don't need to open one for every single problem i come across.



got some problems with ammunition on weapons and in BR.

first on the list:

i prefer buying ammunition belts, since they are a more efficient way of carrying ammunition.
one problem i encountered since .4057 is the following: i usually change the items.xml to allow BR to sell 7.62x51mm Belts in FMJ-Cold and Match in addition to the usual of FMJ, HP, Tracer. For some reason the new additions don't show up at BRs (in a new game ofcourse)...
is there some conjunction between weapons and ammunition types (same magazine)?
what's the problem here?

next up:

i really wanted to add a C-Mag adapter for 7.62x51mm ammunition. there is no such thing, but there are C-Mags from BETA in that calibre. the adapter is just there to make it work in the game (now that i tink about it, it may very well be the same case with the 5.56x45mm Adapter...).
anyway, the adapter works fine. the c-mag ammunition shows the same problem mentioned above. but in addition to that, it sort of doesn't work properly. when i remove the ammunition from a gun with a fitted c-mag adapter, it turns up as a 100round belt, not a c-mag...
there must somehow be a way to set this right, since it works fine with the 5.56mm ammunition.
again here: what is the cause for this problem?

There can only be a single magazine for any given size/caliber combination. A 99rd mag would work, a 101rd mag would work, a 100rd mag doesn't because there's already the belt.

Btw, your changes look like AIMNAS is exactly the right mod for you. Sells 7.62 in 80rd retail boxes and has 50rd drum mags for the battle rifles.

AWWWW.... forgot that 5.56mm belts have a 200rnd capacity.
k then, changing c-mag to 80.

any idea why BR won't sell the other ammotypes?



i usually mod for my needs. "if it's not there, then i don't need it" is the way i usually look at additional mods. i needed Barett M107A1, added it. needed bigger scope, added zeiss 12x diarange... DLing another mod would most likely add to my work adding the stuff i need. but thx anyway. i'll take a look.




edit: problem solved. for some reason coolness was removed from the items in question...
