The AI of JA2 is one of the biggest problems in the game, but unfortunately it's not that easy to tweak it. Take a look at the discussion we had about 6 months ago here

In the Demise of Man modification, artifical intelligence does in fact crawl in prone. In my opinion, they crawl a little too much! Smile

well it would be good to see them Crawl in Ja2 1.13,not very much, but at least sometimes. The same goes to bandaging, would make it interesting if they could heal

It gets to the point where instead of running to you, they will crawl to your position. "HE'S HERE!"

The AI need "demolition" in is list of possible orders, if you "peekaboo door" the AI they blow the wall (and soldiers)... and no more AI abuse!
I think the way the AI "decide" put explosives in a door wall is like:
1- wall/door detected
2-enemy inside
3-plant explosive and run

Of course I have NO idea how this can be implemented.
Wish luck to the ones that are working on that, they already made a very good work with "suppression fire", I hate that one and the others AI advances Smile))

They actually do. Just not using animation for it.

It's not hard at all, all you need is change MovementMode table or directly set needed movement mode in DetermineMovementMode, for example, in Ja2+AI enemy uses crawling movement mode sometimes.

Already implemented in Flugente's AI medics and officers feature.
