Hi guys,

we currently have the Encyclopedia feature in the Unstable SCI version. If you open the laptop you have a new link to the Encyclopedia.

The English Encylopedia Quests are not available yet, we only have Polish ones. So we need to translate the Polish text to English. Is anyone interested to do that?

If you need any help with that, especially with fixing up things, I'm up to it (I'm a bit grammar nazi sometimes, you know Razz

).

EDIT: Speaking of the mistakes and improvements, I took a look on the polish version, and did some minor improvements, mostly fixing small grammar mistakes/errors. From the more prominient changes:
- changed the tourist info something slightly else, because the translation for that "Taken care of tourist" would suggest killing them Razz

- changed the description of fuel quest, because saying that shane was "escorted" was kind of misleading - in JA2 "escort" usually means escorting an NPC who won't fight, while Shank is a mercenary who still works for you after the quest.

Use a diff program if you want to look at all of my changes, but I tried to keep them minor. It'd be great if someone could still verify all things, just to make sure, everything is correct now.

Since I also browsed all the quests info, I also found out that few "quests" were missing, especially the San Mona ones. Technically, they can not be quests, but I remember gaining Exp points for handling Angel's deed to Kyle.
- Giving leather shop deed to Kyle
- Taking care of Brenda (either by killing her, or giving her the video tape (or both Razz

)
- Fighting at boxing ring (it's a part of the Chalice quest, but actually in the stable version I was able to accept the quest without winning the fights using the backdoors at Kingpin's house)

There are probably few more missing too - and also:
- Killing Deidranna (technically the game ends while you do this, but I think game still handles this as quest, and some mods might disable the game ending after killing her)

@Faalagorn: Thanks for your offer. Asthner has already translated the Polish file to English and made a few corrections in the Polish file. The actual version is here:

If you want to help on more translations, there are plenty of English Text in the Polish EXE file. You could get in contact with Asthner (PM him). He has the files and knows what to do.

Faalagorn, you've done changes going in roughly the same direction that I did, though I left some of some more of the text intact for the sake of consistency and because I'm not able to check the results in the game (I don't have JA2 installed atm). As for the missing quests, I'm sure I saw the leather shop deed one in the files and translated it, hmm...

RoWa, I hope you're writing about the Encyclopedia files, 'cause I haven't got any beside those two xmls. Wink

Sorry for failing to keep a track with the thread for the last day, but I have JA2 with 1.13 installed, using Tais SVN version with the encyclopedia included - I could check how that works ingame, but only by switching the English files on English version - I'm running the English 1.13 xD.

As far as helping goes - count me in, I'm glad If I could help with anything ^^.
