just wondering if theres a way on 1.13 to disable mercs denying employment because of a bad reputation?? now before you go saying "oh u cant play for shit if you need to disable reputation", well i like to play the game from start to finish without having to reload the game when a merc dies or i make a mistake. with mercs rejecting contracts it makes it extremely head to do this.

You can set "ReputationTolerance" in the 'merc profiles editor'. IIRC value 101 is "don't care".

would if i could but my PROEDIT does seem to work... i make changes and save them but it doesnt change anything. any ideas??

Wait, proedit? That modifies the prof.dat files. You should either set your game to use them (not recommended, you will lose all the new mercs) or change the mercprofiles.xml with either MercProfileEditor or notepad

You probably stumbled into the trap and took an ancient version then. Head to the Wiki and grab the current Official Release.

well i just downloaded it and i think it sucks donkey balls.... cant stand the layout and some of the faces are all messed up. how to fix? or back to square 1 how do i edit the older 1.13 =v

The layout of the game has not changed lately, IIRC.
If with the "messy faces" you are refering to display of worn face gear - that can be disabled in options.ini.

JFYI - i have similar approach .. however i re-load sometimes i play ironman .. currently i play on experienced mode, the expert is real hard to complete on ironman, what's please your difficulty choice ?

would you also list those changes you've made ..

and yet another, your bad reputation slowly decreases so if you receive some KIAs, you can't replace them instantly but after few days .. however it doesn't bring much realism that mercs forget so fast and change theirs mind after few days. check that

btw, i have tried once your way on novic mode and i ended up somewhere around omerta .. my forces were crushed and that driven bitch won. Razz

but was with some early v1.13, no NCTH, no other features .. at these days the NCTH and new skills system makes the experience and tactics quite different and i have to learn first the way how is the realism applied .. but at least the reputation subsystem seems same as in the original game.

well for starters iv modded all the guns. there all alot more powerful so depending on the caliber they can kill very easerly (like a real gun) reloading takes an average of 15 AP depending on the gun some more some less. all in all iv tried to make the game more realistic. armour cant be repaired, med kits are now just 1st aid kits (so when a merc gets injured you cant just doctor/patient and there all better in a few hours. it takes days to recover Razz

) all in all my edit requires more strategy. atm im playing it on expert difficulty but this time round i made money not an issue =P usually i play on experienced mode with normal bobby rays settings.

the only real problem im having with the new 1.13 is the stupid 100 AP system coz all my settings are based around the 25. i changed it back to 25AP system in the .ini file but with loading and a couple other things it changes them in comparison with the 100AP system so there all ridiculously low.
