Hello, this is a raw member here, okw1003. Want to customize the 1.13 and re-play it.
I am greatly concerned about batteries' lifetime, and I want to make a kind of battery which is rechargeable and/or durable. :computer2: Maybe durable battery can be easy, but rechargeable battery cannot be so easy.
Can I make a durable and/or rechargeable battery only by XML? Because I don't want to tackle bunch of codes, if I must tackle the code, just say "impossible". Thank you.

Yes, you can do both via XML.

You can first of all slow down the drain on the battery in items.xml by changing this tag:

0

Then if you look into the merges.xml, you can find out how to make the battrey rechargeable.

There is one other way. Check the box in the item through XML editor. Then it would simulate one recharging the battery when you have someone in sector assigned to REPAIR.

Sorry for the delay, couldn't get on the site for a few days.
No, no necromancy (dark elves & such don't vacation in Arulco). Just a simple battery recharger, solar, hand crank, or gas-driven.

Dude, necromancy (also: necro posting or just necroing) is a common term in forums denoting the resurrection of a thread by posting a new reply long after the last. We are pretty liberal around here where this is concerned, but SIX YEARS is way over the top.

My apologies then, I guess I was judging by my standards, where if I post a question, and no one comes up with a solution, I'll still check the thread for months and years, just in case someone FINALLY comes up with something for me. I guess I'll just restrict myself to stuff within the last 7 days here though., And when Logisteric answered me with the word necromancy, I thought he was making a joke about "resurrecting" dead batteries.

But posting 6 years back is an overkill.
