Okay, since I've been trying to come up with solutions to old stuff, and found out that people are getting mad about it, let me post MY problem that I haven't been able to find anything on, and maybe someone can provide me a solution, or tell me it's impossible without going into the code (and I'm not a programmer unfortunately).

Okay, I've found most of the items properties, and been able to change stuff pretty much as I will. HOWEVER, I can't seem to find the attribute that would re-enable climbing while still wearing a backpack. A lot of stuff in 1.13 makes sense to me, or is easily changed to meet my standards, but I can't find this, and it's bugging the crap out of me!!!

I tried a web search, tried searching these forums (as well as others through their own search engines), and all I find is "Mercs cannot climb while wearing a backpack in v1.13". Is this hard-coded, or am I as blind as a bat, and not seeing a simple solution to setting this? I use the XML editor that came with the 1.13 I downloaded, and I don't see that particular attribute to be able to set it, un-set it, or whatever.

HELP!!!!

This is a design feature of New Inventory. No option to turn off.

"forbid climbing" is a direct consequence of being a backpack, no other properties involved. Don't wear backpacks in combat, that's what combat packs are for.

Crap, I was afraid of that. Thanks for the quick response. Was hoping to easily get around the "put backpack in hand, climb up, and then switch weapon back to main hand and re-wear backpack."
