I have been playing for a few hours, long enough that I am not short on cash. I have found an entertaining, though risky assault. I've used it successfully with most of the roadblocks and a few cities. Sometimes I lose the entire squad. Your mileage may vary.
I have a squad of armoured mercs with high stamina, armed with axes, machetes, or combat knives. I park them close to an enemy squad, then charge in attacking every one with the meele weapons. The armour absorbs the hits they take en route, and I have a medic or three standing by. It's great watching the enemy fall to the same technique that wiped out half my squad in Drassen. Worked very well in the farm assault, combined with a few snipers.
