Love the mod, got me back playing after some time. But I noticed something different with the reinforcements - when doing the Drassen Counterattack battle, I noticed that the enemy reinfocements were coming in groups and not being replaced in a per killed basis. The attack was with around 66 enemies and I had to kill about a group of 32 then another 32 shows at the same time then finally the last 4 come. The milita never replaced their lost numbers either so I assumed all 20 would have to be killed before any of the other 20 would come in.

Is this a new feature for reinfocements in the 4870 patch? I tried looking throught the .ini interface but didn't find anything different from the older patch I used to play (4500). Is there something in the .ini that I can change to get back the old reinforcements behaviour?

I will look into this issue as soon as I have the time.
My guess would be that it's an issue of v1.13 - not AR.

Did you use the INI file from AR or an older one?
The INI which comes with AR is an *unmodified* file from official 4870 release.

Much appreciated, good to know that this is possibly a bug and not a new feature.

I first upgraded to the 4780 patch then installed AR. I believe I used an old .ini since I used it for other mods (Deidrianna Lives and Urban Chaos), and accessed the AR .ini via drop down menu.

Is it recommened that I removed the old mods and reinstall AR?

Edit: Don't know if it helps, but through additional battles, I found out the enemies appear the first instance of real time after the initial time based phase (usually after I defeat most of the enemies in the sector and am hunting for the last 1-2 enemies)

It's a bug that was fixed a few days ago in the unstable builds, no need to check your mos, JAsmine.

Thank you - that's good to hear. In fact I really dislike looking into my mo Wink

Yes, we recommend to install AR over a clean v1.13. Uninstalling older versions of AR before installing newer versions is recommended, too.

Not doing so might result in problems.

Hmm ... I uninstalled everything, the reinstalled JA2, patched to 1.13, applied the latest hotfix, then installed AR but still having the bug reoccur in the new game.

I'm considering going back to v4552 instead of v4870, is there alot of stability issues with AR using that older version?
