In JA2 of course you could get your mercs to leave the combat sector by walking to the edge of the screen and exiting.

In this you seem unable to do it, or at least I can't work out how you do. I made a mistake sending a small ill-equipped squad into a sector and can't extract them, in otherwards retreat!

Logi, the question is not about JA2 but, BiA. JFTR.

@xeno: retreat your mercs out of enemy's sight to the map's border. Once you got the on screen message "combat ended" (or similar) and you are far away from enemies and near sector's edge, use the button "go to world map" (or similar) in the upper right corner of your screen (upmost button on right sight, looks like a globe).

damnit, second time i fall for it => me nOOb - maybe i didn't see it cause if have to switch to fullscreen whenever i want to forcemarch them over a border (to get into a sector where there is water)

what means JFTR?
