I think Full Control did fantastically well, the way they showed their love for JA and their willingness to listen to fans. They show quite some talent as well. It's also fair to say that this funding probably wouldn't have happened without the BP stepping up and doing everything you guys did. Thanks for that!

Yeah, glad we proved that JA still has some pretty amazing fans out there.

True story: When the contest started, I had just been accepted into my dream university to do my PhD but with no funding. I was looking at the prospect of being penniless for 3 years with a wife and kid to care for on top of it... 9 days ago on May 15, I got informed I had a full scholarship plus generous stipend for my PhD and well... that flipped my world upside down. So that was when I told myself I'm going to make someone else's dream come true. Pledged 9 times more than my original 'maximum', and I had the finger hovering over an additional amount enough to take it over the top if it didn't get funded by 8 hours to go.

So I'm gonna remember this campaign for a long long time. Great job FC. Great job Bear's Pit. Great job JA:F backers. I'm going to miss rushing into work just to fire up my computer to check the latest total (and then getting no work done at all haha)

I was also really concerned after a few days. I realised that most people simply don't know about this kickstarter. most fans, like myself, probably hardly play (new) games these days so they are not up to date with stuff like that. I only found out about the kickstarter because a mate send me the link on skype after three days.

I helped to spread the word as good as I could but I'm not on facebook/twitter or any gaming communities. so thanks to all those who did. FC actually put a link to the article I wrote about it on their front page but I doubt it was much help.

So, before I fall asleep, I must mention that we'll slowly start to phase out the other open contests. Will take submissions of everyone's footwork to Spread the Word until next Friday or so. Then announce the winners and get them their prizes. We really want to do this BEFORE the survey gets out otherwise is pointless. Might have to speed up a bit but I doubt FC will move on surveys faster than a week.

And for two weeks or so I'll wait for submissions for v1.13 Modders to Backers. Then I'll start adding names to XML and deliver it to Flugente. And you'll be able to hunt yourselves in the game. Smile
