Hi everyone, I've been playing JA2 for a couple of years now, and since i have some experience as a modder (used to be a modder in SWGBHeaven) a few months back I started creating my custom mods: Armors, IMP portraits, guns, face gear, cookies and about everything i liked from any gun/armor picture I saw around the internet and in movies/videogames.
Now while adding a few guns to my just-started Sci-Fi mod, I'm experiencing something I never came across before, the blue/transparent 255/0/0 guns background is displaying in-game, when I go on the weapons' interface.
I tried to search around the forums but didn't really find much about this problem.
It's worth adding that the blue background doesn't show in the XML editor, just like it's supposed to behave, although whenever i go on the infobox...
Here's a screenshot of what's going on:
(The Infobox interface in the screenshot is one of my mods, it never interfered with any gun/armor mod i made, so it shouldn't be the problem.)
Thanks in advance, hope i'll get to show you guys some of my mods soon.
Edit: Still playing around with the XML editor, Photoshop and STI-Edit, if I come across a solution I'll post it here for future reference.

Figured out!
Your advices about the colour and transparecy put me on the right track, apparently my STI Editor had the wrong colour set as the background one, so in the BugItems image, which has its own palette, the Editor had the Light Gray set as Trasparency colour and it just ignored the blue, I just switched the background colour and there we go:
Thanks a lot for your help, i'd never have found out by myself.
Oh, if you don't mind, another small help:
I can't seem to edit the BottomBar_1024x768, Bottombar_8_1024x768, Bottombar_6_1024x768 and the equipment interface, everytime i try to replace them on the STI Editor it comes up with errors, wether i try to load a different palette, BMP file or save it after copy-paste, I was thinking that it has probably something to do with the size, due to the fact I basically edited every other part of the interface.. any clue?

That's some consturctive criticism, and I must say you have a point here.
Well, this was mainly a graphics test so of course those aren't meant to be the real stats upon completition, I just worked on the attachments so far.
And yeah it either needs a way higher weight (and bigger size), a larger mag, or an ammo change (I might even convert it to 12gauge), I'm not yet sure which one I'll pick. Yet it came out pretty shotgunnish so I'll keep the gun type.
If you feel like sharing your opinion on which ammo/size the gun should have, please share it with me, I've never been good at balacing.
Edit: Yey, solved the STI-Problem.
Just need to create a new empty .sti with only the palette in it, then adding the pics through GRV, so I'm almos done with the sci-fi interface/inventory, just need to finish off the buttons, silouhettes and some minor stuff..
