Hello,
i hate it that you can go back, sideways whit ALT because when i wanna go sideway he doint do it..
so pls make that sideways / backworts going is other key or that you can select it whit rigtclick ...

and pls add that you can go sideways if you crouch

Moving sideways in a crouched position requires animations for that, which we do not have.

Walking sideways with ALT works fine if the merc just stands there - perhaps your merc is in a wrong animation (aiming etc.)?

Same problem: requires animations we don't have.

Why couldn't the normal sidestep animation be used? IMHO, this particular movement action doesn't really need accurate graphical representation.

Is it hard to put animations into JA2?

I've seen how some people were trying to make some. I'd be interested in dusting off my modeling software if its doable / actually wanted by the community.

I just wouldn't be able to put them into the game myself.

It's been a while that I added anims, I just remember that its more ugly than one would think it is, due to the... special stuff the game does with anims. I can add them though.

Well I'm currently living in barracks with a shitty dongle for net and only my laptop.

I'll be getting proper accommodation at the end of the month and hopefully my uplift including my desktop with all my programs.

I'll look into how animations are handled in JA2 and see what it'll entail.
