Hey guys, i did kinda fall off the planet, in between becoming a dad again for the second time, and crushing my right hand in a work place accident, time to sit down and redo what i had done (due to updating the XML editor) was a bit of a handful. I'm still very much in love with the idea, but my talents go little past having the ideas. I've gotten a hold of a few blueprint lay outs of Hadleys hope as i would really really like to put that into the map. Perhaps not the size i originally thought to do (the whole JA2 map) but maybe something like a 3 x 4 area of zones, with basement levels. Flugente was kind enough to hack me one of his .exe files to trying and help me with the enemies to aliens thing, using his zombie mod, but alas i couldn't get it to work (totally my end). I've got the pictures i want to use for the marines faces (they're just stills from the movie and or photos) just unsure as to how to put them on the merc cards inside the game. And despite my best efforts with the pulse rifle sound in full auto i just can't get the bastard to work. i really thought i had it, recorded a separate sound file for every burst combination, but it still didn't work. And it's disheartening when things don't work. So i've opted to just make the pulse rifle single shot and burst fire, no full auto. I haven't even looked at the smartguns sound. And i still have no idea about balancing the marines skills and stats. Don't want them to be too awesome, but don't want them to be shit either. Long story short... i need help... :/
