This is getting kind of confusing, were you using a newer build of the 1.13 executable when you had the issue and did he tell you to revert to 7883 or what?
Because then I dont know what the status of your problem could be, maybe it could come in handy if you could link that discussion...

Hello! When my soldiers occupied the airport, I found the problem - I could not train the militia, the function is not active on the strategic screen. At first time I thought that should be done by different way, but digging in the settings give me that:

ye, Basically was that, i was using the latest one and then i got that problem frequently. that guy told me that should work with 7883 and since i use that one i have no problems but the one with gear selection when selecting 2 pistols of the same... until yesterday with the Angel and Maria mission, i'll try again and see if it works.

As far as I know the airport has no facilities to train militia in aimnas, you could fix that by editing a certain xml file though!

This bug was reported awhile back. Smegol said it's unfixable until XML editor gets fixed (or something).

I got such error and game freeze only with AIMNAS and any unstable builds for AIMNAS,during battles.If try restart game ,game freeze occur again..Tryed to play AIMNAS with Stable build-such error not occur.

I am running the latest AIMNAS (downloaded 2 weeks ago anyway from Github) on R7991 D2272 and generally things are running OK but The Angel/Maria/Kyle quest hangs when I present the deed to Kyle (even if I don't steal the money first). A workaround is just steal the money he'd pay you and don't give him the deed though the quest won't complete then and there will be no experience given.

Sector G6 this part of the map is perfectly walkable, I mean there's barbed wire in there to protect the area but it isn't working well with the edge of the rock ridge in there.

I'm also having issues with sectors F10 Farmland and G7 Farm, Road. I can send my mercs there but the sector itself won't load, the bar hangs and tactical well... never happens, sometimes I even get a CTD when I send the mercs there.

I'm playing 7991 on AIMNAS Easter Release 2015

I notice that the M79 grenade launcher theoretically has a direct fire mode allowing buckshot shells (400mm) to be fired. Even when I switch modes I can't load the shells.

Also, the Kingpin fights don't happen..The organizer guy says all the fights are done even though I've never fought any and at 11pm and thereabouts, which usually works. I suspect that a few quests aren't sorted out by Smeagol yet.

That's not what I'm getting Shinobi...I hand Maria over to Angel and get the deed, then go to Kyle to get the money but it just hangs when Kyle should go get the money...no error report (maybe I should be using some kind of setting to get those coming up). In the end I just stole the money and forgot about it. But then the Kingpin fights didn't trigger, so it does seem that Smeagol has just not finished off the quests maybe. He's got bigger things to deal with (awful pun intended)

I figured out the M79 grenade launcher. An obvious transformation needed, which I thought I'd done but the thing is you load the grenade differently in different modes.

Now I have an issue in Chitzena mine that might be a game killer. Halfway through the battle the game freezes when trying to autosave at the end of the turn (maybe turning that off would help...hmm, will try that; it wasn't the default setting as I recall and that likely means something)

A workaround for my crash was to kill all enemies using cheat mode...or in my case injure them all, or kill them, enough that they surrendered before the end of the turn

Using AIMNAS Easter Release 2015 on SCI_Unstable_Revision_7991_on_GameDir_2272 and the 40mm mustard gas grenade explodes like stun grenades, no lethal gas at all... got my ass kicked since I shot that and a chained reaction of explosion led aaaall the way to my mercs and blew them all up, even when I kept them 4 or 5 tiles away from each other.


A quick edit on the xml editor revealed they were set to stun instead of mustard gas, testing in 3...2...1...

You might have all kinds of extra trouble using that release Torres. It's not obvious (till you know, then you see the references everywhere, but get the latest AIMNAS from the Github web page in several posts above. There are enough problems with the latest bets version (AIMNAS is beta after all)and you won't get any help with the outdated version since it's very obsolete, apparently.

Can anyone tell me how to add some sectors to the "have water" list? most of the bigmaps cities can't be used to refill canteens (CRTL+.) so I end up traveling to a swamp or similar place with no some kind of water to refill them.

You need to modify TableData\Map\SectorNames.xml and change <sWaterType> from 0 to 1 in the city sector that you want to have water. City sectors should always have water in my opinion. I don't think the locals can afford Coke and beer all the time. ;)

  • 0 = no water
  • 1 = drinking water
  • 2 = salt water
  • 3 = poisonous water

I think I've found a minor typo/bug in the stats for the Zbroyar Z84 sniper rifle which is described as 'an accurate bolt action SR' but has a range of only 80....very short for Bigmaps. Perhaps it wasn't changed when the maps grew?

Hmmm....seems the range is the same for the only other 5.56 sniper rifle I can find on Jennana.com (which I think is all based on AIMNAS data)...the Colt C7. I recall it was on the short side in 1.13 vanilla, but not this short. I think this might be a good example of how hugely the bigmaps change gameplay at times.

I'm really liking the tactical differences, though it sure makes for sniper rifles/rifles ruling the battles at my stage of the game (just starting to get some decent assault rifles in the 70's range). The Garand is very effective.

Hi I'm using SCI_Unstable_Revision_7991_on_GameDir_2272 + AIMNAS Core (Github last updated July 26th 2015) and I'm having issues with some sectors that sooner or later get fixed on their own, sometimes I try and enter said sectors and I get crashes, infinite load screens but over time they work... except for E10 (the kind of Hydroelectric powerplant? I know from the map editor).

No matter what I do, how I do it the sector will not load on tactical, tried entering via chopper, tried entering from every possible side of the map, tried just sending a "naked" merc in case items were the problem, tried sending jeeps/hummer/ice cream truck, tried luring the enemies out of the sector leaving small sized squads (1 or 2) around so they will take the bait and move for them... apparently that sector is one of the fastest ways to get from Cambria to Drassen and it is permanently blocked since I can't autoresolve or do anything to get the enemy out.

I'm not getting too much money but probably my next and only hope is to guide mobile militia there wave after wave and kill them so it is passable... it just 16 soldiers who refuse to abandon that place no matter what.

Anything I can do in the editor? and even if I do... will that change immediately ingame?

Seems like the E10 is 100% reproducable.

But as there is no actual error message coming up, not sure yet what is going on.

Could be a wide array of different things going on. Best bet would be, if some of the capable coders (TM) would take a look at it with a debug exe and see what causes the apparent infinite loop that is going in there.

Best bet would be, if some of the capable coders (TM) would take a look at it with a debug exe and see what causes the apparent infinite loop that is going in there.

Flugente has gone AWOL but if/when he returns he might first want to fix the crash with the drug system so he can actually run the debug exe. big grin

Yeah, from what I've heard from the jungle radio (a.k.a. the IRC), he's been quite busy with real life issues lately (same as me, btw). Hope he'll return and hope that I will find time (and motivation) to continue on aimnas soonish as well.

Fix for the map issue:

Seems like the air vent fans cause trouble. As weird as it sounds...

Deleting those air vents from the roof fixes the issue.
