It's probably about 5 years since I last played JA2. First time playing it too along 1.13 and DC to pop my cherry.
I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to reorganize my squad in the tacticscreen.
It was fine at first, since I had one squad and didn't need reorganizing then I got the ice cream van and it got annoying. Everytime I bump into an enemy while riding my van it would shuffle my soldier order. Now that I have a second squad up I would really appreciate it if I can someone organize their portrait order.
Edit: While I'm hear I might as well ask for some tips. What would be a good weapon for low marksmanship mercs? I've been using single-shot long rifles since bursting seems terrible even with grips and low caliber arms. My thinking is that they can be safe with range since it's a huge gamble trying to manfight enemies at the front line - Like Ira just missing an 8 round auto fire within 7 or 8 tiles away and getting murdered the next enemy turn. If my understanding of the gain mechanic is also correct they would learn faster this way as sometimes they can fire 2 shots per turn.
Any alternative weaponry ideas?

They were definitely NOT pre-placed. It happened now happened on two sectors to me. The first was Dave's sector, the original Estoni. The second one happened to Arulco Revisited's Estoni Airport sector. As you can imagine I have spent a lot of time going to the Airport sector to pick up Bobby Ray's goods. Add the fact that I had to re-take it too before hand. There were no mines, not a single one. Especially not at the airstrip itself.
Suddenly both maps are littered with mines. The original Estoni sector had about 20 or 25 mines on them. Took quite a while to talk to Dave, lol. My Mercs were getting prompt to talk about mines every step.
Also I am playing with the stable build of Stock Data Overhaul plus Aruclo Revisited if that helps.
P.S. I read the whole SDO thread and I don't remember any mention of mines.
