Since some new features made by visitors of the forum were lost, I decided to make an archive for all usefull things that may be needed at some point.

If you have made something for JA2 v1.13 including tools, code changes, bug fixes, new features, new pictures, new sounds, new maps or anything else please send it to ja2113development{[(nospam)]}googlemail.com

Put everything into a RAR archive and make a description and a copyright notice.

The files will be published here: http://81.169.133.124/~lalien/ja2development/

I found lots of old JA2 tools and stuff here: http://jaggedalliance.strategyplanet.gamespy.com/downloads/ja2_programs.shtml
There's an IMP editor there. Don't know if it's the one or if it even works. The main site seems to be down.

Here is my complete bundle of modding programs available thru the link below: I did not create any of these programs, just used them a lot. I am writing an overall guide on what programs I use and in which order to help anyone create a campaign from start to finish for 1.13.

http://www.badongo.com/file/2482466 Badongo is dead, send me a new link if you have one.

Stuff included:

Gap file generator program, game resource viewer, HTML docs from old Lord's of the Byte and Bear's Pit forum threads, classic ja2 ( 1.03 to 1.12 gold patch, 1.12 chance to hit, early rebel's patch, and Patusco's JA2 strategy guide).

Linx's tile set editor + Snap's tile install and tile no utility; also by Snap: jace, unface and unslf.

STI- View and STI-Edit, JA2 Desktop Setup and UC-Utils programs. I'm not sure what the differences between the last 2 are. Various fixes for JA2 1.12 and UB 1.01 by Dvornik. Gold's map converter, JA2 and UB editor pdf's.

Lots of UB specific stuff: Readme's inside each folder. The 3 exe's are the 1.01 English patch, the UB chance to hit, and the UB patch that removes the need to have the disc in the drive if you have the original non-gold version that was bought separately

I think maybe the EDT Editor and a few others might also be helpful. If you like I think I can send these to you for general distribution. I have something of a library of this stuff and am available today to send these.
My scedule is so crazy lately that I am not always easy to reach.

I do have an older standalone EDT editor by Batman. I think his newer version is in both of the utility programs.

Please send me anything you think that I don't have, Khor.

For future reference I have made a STIEdit icon explanation for those who cannot understand German and can't get the English converter to work.

Hi guys, did someone get John Wright's bundle he is talking about up in this post? When I checked today the file has been deleted due to inactivity.

Kaerar, do you happen to know if Schein was able to put John's stuff on Kermi's FTP site?

Probably Schein would like to look at that and see if it has something he can add to the JA 2 Archive (Kermi's FTP site).

For me if you like you can upload whatever you have to your Skydrive. PM me when its there, I will PM you back when I finished downloading. Whatever I get, I intent to put on the new JAG Web site.

I remember there was a utility that calculated range and action points cost for weapons by inputing the weapon's real-world barrle length and rate of fire. I don't remember the name of the utility.

Hi guys.
I am new in this forum and new for modding JA, specially Flashback.
Just bought it a week ago and didn't notice it's release - I am allways late.
Now I am searching for a downloadlink, to get the JAF Editor Tool - wwwjaggedallianceflashback.com isn't online anymore
and I tried to find a link in here. But I didn't see it anywere.

Is someone modding or working with the ditor for Flashback?
Or are you all just working on the new JA2?

I hope someone can help me to find what I am searhcing.
thx and have fun
best regards
Kai

There's a JAF forum and a pinned topic with everything we had regarding JAF modding here:
http://thepit.ja-galaxy-forum.com/index.php?t=msg&th=21901&goto=333300&#msg_333300

But the editor (unless someone still has a local copy) was hosted on their server and it's gone.

Hi Shanga.
Thx for the Link. I will follow and search for the files.
I wrote to the company yesterday and hope, someone will read it before they are going totaly offline.
I treid to make a SteamContact to you, couse [DON]Vader told me, you should have the files.
You made some mods in steam.
If you or anyone else have the files, plz upload it or maybe I will send you a stick on the old way.
thx, have fun..

Is it clever to mod flashback or is it better to switch to another part of JA?
I've read about the v1.13 of JA2.
Or maybe the new version Back in Action?

The editor won't help you mod JAF too much unless you have Unity pro license. Also the FC devs have intentionally blocked off access to ingame assets due to the license limitations (they've used 3rd party assets that they weren't allowed to redistribute in other form than the game). All in all modding JAF is a route that was cut short too soon and will lead you nowhere.

You can make limited mods though, editing various settings in the JSON files (and for those you don't need the editor).
