Hey Team,

I've spent the last 8 hours or so trying to get 1.13 to run for JA2 and I've about thrown in the towel. I've looked at all of the old forum posts and nothing seems to help. If I run the JA2.exe, I get a binkw32.dll error. If I run the INI Editor, I get a "Cannot find path to ... Profiles" error. I've installed all three portions I believe: Download 1.13, extract it to the game folder, extract the additional files and run the BAT file patcher.

I'm on 8.1 with steam a current steam version and Jagged Alliance 2 Gold on a Surface Pro 3 i5. Help?

-AJ

Did you add the Win 8&10 compatibility files? Should be in one of the sub folders of your installation.

Actually, I'm using the default Steam directory because when I move it and try to run it I get an error. Should that be a problem?

You shouldn't just move the files around, you actually need to create a proper new "Steam library" that's not in Program Files. To do that, select "Steam" at the top of your Steam window, then "Settings", then the "Downloads" tab, "Steam library folders" and "Add library folder". Don't forget not to create it in Program Files.

Once you've created your new library, go to your game list, double-click on your uninstalled JA2 as you would normally do to install it, and in the window that appears, choose your new library in the drop down menu. You can also create your new library directly here.

Hope that works !
