So I've been wondering which of the tactical games out there are worth it... I'm aware of 7.62 High Caliber (and Hard Life), Brigade E5, Hired Guns, and the new(er) JA games (BIA, Crossfire, Flashback). And I'm not counting Silent Storm or various UFO clones which often come up in discussions, I'm only looking at the "bunch of mercs" style of game here.

From what I remember (it's been a while since I last played them), E5 and 7.62 are quite intriguing, but rather shoddily done, while the JA clones are fairly polished but soulless.

Oh, I love UFO games (I have pretty much every single one that ever came out happy ) but I'm itching for a decent JA clone. I'm playing Flashback and it's fairly decent, but somewhat lacking.
After 20 years, JA2 (with 1.13) remains the best game of its type, and that's making me kinda sad.

7.62 HC + Blue Sun Mod is pretty good, even it has some bugs.
Also must recommend Marauder, also very very buggy with some very bad translation russian to english, but awesome game, even a bit too short.
