I just started a new game on expert difficulty. In the new game menu, I set Bobby Ray's Quality and Quantity settings to Great(x3). But when I check the progress in-game, it shows that they are set to great(x2). If I start a new game with them set to Excellent(x4), it shows the setting correctly in-game, but this level has Galil ARs and FALs in the used section right after taking over Drassen airport, so I'm not a huge fan of it (makes the game too easy).

Also, in an ongoing game with the same great(x3) settings (it says great(x2) in this one, too), the used section on Bobby Ray's never updates after a certain level. At progress 100 I'm still only seeing flak jackets and Winchester Trappers. Is this happening to anyone else?

Playing on the latest build with the update installed.

The game info display is just a display issue. It was showing fixed defines for the different levels. Fixed in r8397.

I haven't had any issues so far with BR used inventory not updating anymore.

I'm playing a new game on experienced with BR's settings set to x2, I think. Just about to move on to Chitzena. My progress is 20/20 right now. I have AK-104 and Galil SARs available in the used section. Will update here once I capture Chitzena. What is R8297? A beta version of the game. Can you download that form the SVN repository?

R8297 is the current development version of 1.13. You could download the GameDir and code from SVN but you'd need to compile your own exe from that code. Or you can download an SCI that is updated regularly. Next SCI should be available soon. You will likely need to start a new game if your current version is too old.

It's actually available, but you'll need the mid-March SCI and last weekend's build since there weren't any changes to the game data.

Okay, I captured Chitzena, Grumm, and Cabmria and wiped a large number of the queen's troops, including a tank. The progress level is now at 80, but the used section still only has flak jackets and the like for sale. It seems the used section stops refreshing and updating after a certain level.

Also, when can Miguel and Carlos join my team? I now have 5 towns under control at 100% (Omerta, Drassen, Chitzena, Cambria, Grumm). Trying to recruit Miguel causes him to decline. Do I need to recruit him with my IMP character?

You're right that Miguel and Carlos will join after five towns, but Omerta doesn't count as one of those towns. You'll have to grab Alma or Balime.

Actually Omerta counts as one of these towns. In very old versions the game was checking for >=6 towns which meant that you had to liberate Omerta + 5 other towns but this isn't the case anymore.

Still you will need high enough leadership value to recruit any of the rebels.

How high does the leadership value need to be? My IMP with 85 leadership still keeps getting turned down. BTW, does the face that sector A:9 has enemies count against a liberated Omerta even though it says 100% loyal?

Edit: Never mind. I cleared out Omerta and recruited them both.

That's a common mistake to ignore the enemies in A9. They tend to retake the sector from time to time. Liberated means no enemies in any town sector. ;-)

I finally got the used section in BR to update. It seems that it does not update beyond a certain coolness level on the quality/quantity 3x/3x setting. I reinstalled the game and started a new game on 2x/2x and it now updates. I also enabled some of the features I had previously disabled, like weather effects and reinforcements, but I don't think these had any effect. The 3x/3x setting might be bugging out.
