I've been long time subscriber of Bear Pit's and big fan of the game. I managed to stumble upon a bug in Smeagol's mod. Good news is that it's a great mod. Bad news is minor bug I found but it's more of small inconvenience. I deleted the scripts in Data-Bigmaps/NPCDATA folder to get the convert German subtitles to good old English subtitles. It worked all right, but when I gave the letter to Fatima, she wouldn't move to another sector. I restored the deleted scripts back to the original folder. My merc gave the letter to Fatima who responded in German subtitles, then they were immediately teleported to the the rebel's basement. Is there any other way I can change the subtitles to English one without affecting Fatima? I want to recruit Miguel & Carlos in later stage of the game.

IIRC the .EDT files contain the texts so only delete those. If there are additional lines of text in the AIMNAS files you will probably get an empty text box when the character tries to use them.

Do not delete the .NPC files as those contain the modified scripts and NPCs won't work correctly without them.

It worked! Thanks! However another problem arrive. I used to have 4 additional I.M.P. voice for each gender. That were total of 7 voices of reach gender, but by deleting edt files, I end up to just original 3 voices set for guy and gal. At least Fatima spit out English text, and I still can go to the rebel's basement. Any taker for round 2 fixing of the bug?

Sector I3 has no North entry points (from Grumm Mine).
Sector I2 (Naval Base) produce endless loading screen when mercs in sector and enemy attack it (at least from south).
After taking Sam Site in D2, airspace controlled by Sam Site in I8 becomes absolutely safe. It is very useful bug, because makes possible airdrops to Tixa, Cambria and Central Sam Site directly, but still bug (i think). After taking I8, Sam Site works well, shoot enemy helicopters without any repair actions.
Some NPC never appear in sector C13 (Drassen): Herve Santos (bartender), father Walker, Doreen. They exist on map in MapEditor, but not in game (verified three times in different runnings).

Not sure what's causing that, to be honest. angry

Haven't looked into SAM sites lately. I'll keep it in mind.

Hmmm... well, yeah, the editor shows they are there. Need to do more research in game... maybe some lua script based issue?

Retreating in which direction? The map has no East entry point, maybe that's what is causing the problems?

I don't know if it's an AIMNAS thing, V1.113 or just my own making but all my previous stuff in Drassen airport has been greyed out in strategic and I can't find it in tactical while the new BR orders are at least for now within reach. I have no clue when it happened, there hasn't been any attacks on the airport by the Army. In case there's no solution for getting it back, is there someway to reset the sector?

Yeah, I had that happen a couple times in my current game as well. Usually going into tactical view and back to sector inventory fixes the issue.

But honestly, no idea what's causing it... should be a 1.13 issue.

There's that bug and there's stuff randomly not saving in sector inventory after being unloaded from mercs who arrived in a vehicle. Both come standard with any recent 1.13 big grin

The best way to avoid these is to save, load the sector, make sure everyone disembarks and is in an accessible area, dump the gear, and then move all of the dumped items with ctrl-m (or was it shift-m?) to some reasonable position. So in other words, avoid doing too much inventory manipulation without loading a sector.

If stuff still goes missing, go back to the save you made, check if you can make it happen again, if so let the dev crew know so we can fix it.

That's probably the reason why I never experienced issues with items. Before I offload items I always go to tactical view (to load the sector) then let my mercs walk to the "storage location" (a garage or workshop for example) and only then go to strategic screen to drop everything into sector inventory. This way every item is where I expect it to be, every item is accessible and nothing is lost. I know that this sacrifices some convenience but at least it is safe.

The crucial component here seems to be loading the depot sector, after that it doesn't really make a difference if you skip tactical movement and just bulk-shift the stuff via the sorting functions to a secure spot later.
At least that's my experience after moving several thousand items from the killing fields of an 'Increased Team Sizes' test game to multiple successive base locations earlier this year.

Thanks for the replies but none seems to fix the issue.
When I press Shift-M the stuff I can move in strategic moves. When I activate Cheatmode and Alt-E the pile of stuff I can't move moves with the pile of stuff I can move albeit one square to the north. The magical out of phase pile cannot be manipulated in strategic nor in tactical but I can see it, mousing over it does nothing. Clicking it and the mercs say "Nothing". Putting sandbags on the MOPP does nothing. I've obviously tried to blow it up, both on open ground and on a crate tile.

I'm interested in what mechanic can be behind this.

Well, yeah, there's not much you actually can do after your inventory got borked but those steps should minimize the risk in the future.

A minor bug regarding weapon description. MAS-36 has the same description as MAS-49.
Also I'm not sure if it is really a bug but M136 (AT-4) is a lot cheaper than LAW at BR's site, but LAW is much worse.

Militia training in Omerta doesn't seem to work.
I captured all 4 sectors and trained militia in sector C9. After the training was completed (and the question for the next $750 was presented) no militia appeared.
I turned individual militia profiles off (there isn't any MilitiaIndividual.xml in Data-AIM\TableData, and the "Not enough individual militia found in MoveIndividualMilitiaProfiles" error appeared, so I suspected this was the culprit).

I have
MILITIA_REQUIRE_RESOURCES = TRUE
MILITIA_VOLUNTEER_POOL = TRUE

but I have 90 volunteers and more than 20 converted guns, so that shouldn't be the issue.

You can put as many people in a vehicle as defined in Vehicles.xml. Files that are not present in the "load last" folders (AIMNAS in this case) will be taken from the base 1.13 install. This way the mod author only has to include files that he modified.

I checked the Weapons.xml, and it seems that the EasyUnjam property is set for every weapon.
This property was supposed to be active only for revolvers, so that unjamming them is always successful (you just rotate to the next chamber). Of course, if the weapon is in a bad enough shape, it can jam again on the next round.

Was this an oversight, or is it intentional to allow every weapon to be unjammed by anyone with any skill with one pull of the trigger?

It's definitely the MILITIA_REQUIRE_RESOURCES.
I turned both of them off, militia training works. I turned MILITIA_REQUIRE_RESOURCES back on, militia training doesn't work, even though I have converted plenty of guns.

Creating new militia (according to the description) only requires guns, so I had misc on 0.
It seems that even though militia training doesn't consume misc, it needs to be present.
I converted some knives and grenades.
Having a misc. of 1, after training I got 1 single regular militia, with weapons and armor reduced by 1, misc staying unchanged.
Having a misc. of 4, after training I got 4 regular militia, with weapons and armor reduced by 1, misc staying unchanged.
Having a misc. above 10, after training I got 1 regular and 9 novice militia.

As I cannot train militia in Omerta in regular 1.13 at all, I guess I'll have to go all the way of capturing a whole town in regular 1.13 to check whether this bug is caused by AIMNAS or not.

The KAC Stoner LMG seems to have an identity crisis - the collapsed version seems to be the best MP/SMG/Carbine in the game (2ap single shot,, while the extended version has no attachments except scopes. Unfortunately, I can't post links, or attach images yet...

Also, the gun barrel extender "recipe" doesn't seem to work. I've tried all possible combinations and nothing seems allowed. If you've decided to remove it, a few weapons still show the barrel extender as a possible attachment, which is misleading.

The current M76 actually is the civvie .308 version I believe. Though I most definitely support an 8mm of that (and maybe the .30-06 one as well ... dem yankees, first they develop a cartridge to get the same performance in a smaller package, and then they still convert everything they can to their beloved 06)

Zastava M76 is a Serbian military semi-automatic sniper rifle, and uses only 7.92 x 57 ammo, there is M91 that uses 7.62x51! M2010 is a modern civilian version, which uses, among others, .308 Win. ammo!

First of all, note that I'm not saying we shouldn't add the 8mm (we totally should), just that the current one isn't actually incorrect.

So, there is wrong designation or caliber!

Colt SMG 9mm with +70 drum adapter has odd mag with 102 rounds, what leads to ctds while using ammoboxs on the gun.

-Raven's set 1 consists of 32rd 9mm Colt and 30rd magazines.
-Ivan's set 5 large leg holster is too small to fit 20rd APS magazines.
-TEC-9 is semi-auto but in BR's it's in Machine Pistol category, however it's easily to convert it to full-auto. Conversion kit/Custom variant?

Ejecting ammo form Flamethrower does nothing. Putting ammo from boxes and crates ctd the game. However the weapon can be reloaded automatically from boxes in inventory in tactical mode.

Hello, I am using Jagged Alliance 2 with 1.13 and the AIMNAS mod. The game runs great mostly but almost 45% of the time the end of my session is in a run time error. It says that it fails to delete .DAT files from my 1.13AIM profile in the Temp folder. The file can vary at times and this happens whenever I am saving or loading or doing an action in the tactical screen like finishing my turn. Be aware I am using Windows 10 64 bit with the .exe version of JA2 1.13+AIMNAS is v8408. I can't use anything older than v8399 as that fixes random freezes for Windows 8 and windows 10 users. So I am at a dead end here. If someone can help me out with this that would be nothing but amazing, I am new to Jagged Alliance games and besides this issue the game is really fun. Especially with these two mods.

For some reasons mercs can't be forced to repair in underground sectors.
